Trouble with thermals is that you can get nice and warm and not want to take tham off!!
I never found thermals any warmer than other clothing.
Might be because the coldest parts of me are hands and head.
Head I can cover, but I have to have my hands free. Gloves irritate me.
So my hands are always cold.
I just put on extra layers. 4 tops instead of only 3.
And yesterday I got a parcel with 4 tibetan poncho's.
One for each of us.
They'll be warm as!

Oh, boy...gotta love my thermals!!! Winter hits and they're outta the box. Got some REAL nice ones.....some boring as. No bottoms, only tops. Bottoms too restrictive! Had interesting time with a pair on horseback. Will NEVER go there again!
Know what you mean about ponchos. Have had one for years from Peru. Like a big blanket! Goes over everything and anything. When babies were small went over them as well!!
Have your tried fingerless Gloves. They can be annoying but they leave your fingers free??
Hope your studies are going well and you internet feeds are back on track!

I'm doing the teen thing... 3 singlets, then a shirt, then a jacket.
Makes me feel a little oompa-loompa'ish, but it's warm!

Some people threatened my daughter - oh boy, did they pick the wrong day!
There I was, in the middle of the street, calling them out
Cowards. They were happy to go after a 16 yr old, but when I stepped in, they back-pedalled bigtime.
It's been a long time since I was in a position like that, by I was ready for it today!
