I take vitamin D every day to supplement.
Yeah, I hear you WQ, but don't you just love the feel of the sun? Especially this far into winter. Suns getting strong enough to heat the top sand of the beach, a granite rock, or even a block of cement, as long as there's no wind.....

I used to love the sun.
Then I got a skin cancer.
Now, not so much.

You've come to the right thread - we're a friendly bunch in here :D
Some of us have met in r/l, but there's a lot of newer people here now too.
Beware the general board - it takes a thick skin to survive there! (fortunately, I have no fear, no shame and no dignity ;))

Yeah WQ, The price we pay, :(

Had some burned a few years back. New lot waiting to be done now. Waiting til I feel up to facing customers with the marks,

Hi guys! Speaking of sun and beaches, I got back from a lovely family weekend away (Thursday - Sunday) up at beautiful Hervey Bay. It was so lovely to have some family time after the recent months of hospital visits.

Hi ICR :rose:

It is nice to have a break from daily stuff - especially for you after the things you've had to deal with!
I'm glad you enjoyed it

I have learned to love my pale skin... and the bonus is that at my last appt, my dermatologist told me my skin-age is 10 yrs less than my biological age now!
I have hardly any wrinkles at 43, and [apparently] look at least 8 yrs younger than I really am!

Sounds lovely! Hope my eyes recover before the wet season so I can hire a beach wheelchair and hit the beach!

How's Resher?

Plans for us is a quick bulk shopping visit to Aldi then see which way & how strong the wind is to see if I/we can get some sun happening as reading up on low vit D & seems I'm needing as well as being told by my specialist to "Get some sun but not a lot at a time".

BANDIT:heart: sure knows what it's like hanging around the hospital although my visits are rare over the last few years because of her care here at home although my problems are a lot less than what your dealing with up there as well as looking after Jnr Rasher.

Glad you got some time away from it all. :D

Yeh, I'm not a sun BAKER, but I luv the feel of a few rays. Morning is best. Fresh.Last time I got burnt was watching the cherubs at pony club. Slip slop slapped everything but the cleavage (which is ample ;) ) and got v. badly burnt. Pain o' pain. Haven't been burnt since. But skin cancers legacy of an active Qld childhood.
