I remember having a bottle of port around at one stage that was fitted out like an IV drip ...... only thing missing was the needle for your arm....

I had one of those once, someone gave it to me as a present.
Port was bloody dreadful (probably came from the Hunter!) but the effect when people saw it was great. Ended up leaking all over the microwave!

It was great fun,
I hung out with some Victorian riders who had seen me on a Great Vic ride or two.
I managed the mobile toilets for a number of years, and my nic on the tamworth ride was Mr Pooh!

The storm that came through Cessnock? that bowled tents all over the place was spectacular, the only tents that didn't blow away were those with pissed riders in them!

I remember seeing some rather pissed riders at the time...
it looked so much fun that we were all going to go on one.....

Do they still have them....

I would think they may have been people with far too much time on their hands!

A bit wet behind the ears, some good vintages run to 30 plus years,

Odd place to fine good port, I thought Queensland was only good for rum!

People tend to give port as a present, but it's never really agreed with me. A fine Muscat is my preferred after dinner tipple, in fact I've just opened a rather pleasant Black Label Liqueur Muscat from Morris's in Rutherglen

I've never put port behind my ears.... I guess some need more years to make them drinkable... this one is very nice after 8....
