Umm.. childrens services?

well you would like to think that they would do something about it wouldn't you!!
But then at her age and the fact that she has someone willing to put her up, they wont do much at all.

Sadly having worked for childrens services in Tasmania for some years I am well aware of the fact that they and many (all) other states are stretched to the limit when it comes to helping kids. It gets harder every day not easier. And the reality is that as hard as is could be she may not get a better carer than Trev and his family.

enjoy it while you can.....

I should add here that none of the fighting boyfriend problems or failing to return home had anythging to do with MY daughter, just her friends who are fast becoming my house guests or as I prefer to call them "freeloaders" :p

3? Didn't you ever hear about once bitten twice shy?

yes, but try telling a teenager in 'love' that knows everything.......

I call them marriages, and we would have if we had the money to do it, but in reality the first was an 18 month defacto at the age of 16, the second a 3 year defacto at the age of 18 and the third a 12 year on and off again marriage at the age of 25 (current ex) we lived together from my age of 22.

A sad history really - but at least I know what I want as an adult now in regards to life and relationships etc.

I am not proud of my history but it has shaped me into who I am, so perhaps some good has come of it.

Hey all

I haven't dropped in recently probably because I was foolish enough to buy an acreage property in the country which needs all my attention. Anyway I just wanted to let you all know that LB's mother passed away a few moments ago and if those of you that have her mobile could send her a hug I would appreciate it and I hope that it will make her feel just a little bit better. It won't as most of us know but the thought does count. LB is a beautiful lady and I know that she is in turmoil at the moment and every hug counts does it not? Thanks hey? She is at the hospital so it is probably not a good idea to call.

I know that she has expected it and come to terms with it but still.........a huge loss and a very emotional time.

young women may be confusing and speak in riddles but it doesn't mean it gets any easier for us 'older' women you know.

Well

I hope that hasn't put a dampener on the conversation and in the good tradition on Catholics....party on. My girlfriend died many years ago now and as an Irish Catholic a wake was had naturally. I still think to this day that it was the best party that I have been to and she would have been proud. Maoris do the same to an extent. A celebration of life.
