Heya All,

As some people know, i have some friend's staying with me for a few days from Perth.

Just got home from playing tour guide

The morning started with a drive through the Royal National Park, from Loftus down to Bulli along the coast road and then down to the top of wollongong, back to Sylvania for burgers for lunch, then off to Olympic Park where apparently we once had a big sporting event

those of you who know the area's I am talking about, will think "wow thats alot of driving", for those who don't...we did about 200kms between 9am and 4pm this afternoon, stopping and looking as we went.

Actually saw Matt Shervington at the staduim trying to sell something to some people, while we were standing looking at the cauldron which held the flame during the games.

It was so weird to be driving down streets that were so full of people less than 18 months ago.

Anyway, tonight we have decided to head back out to Homebush to watch the Sydney Kings basketball team lose to Canberra Cannons.

Should be a fun night, but I am thinking a late night.

I just got home from mass (Catholic mass for non-religious types). I was rostered on as acolyte, something I do regularly and my aunt was minister of the eucharist. Anyhow, we had this missionary priest cause this weekend is Mission Sunday. Our normal priest goes 5 mins or less for his sermon, this one was over 45 minutes!!!!!!!!!!! And he was ranting and raving all about the unbelievers who don't go to mass and why Jesus loves us and all this stuff, my parents were in the 2nd row trying not to laugh and people further back were trying make me laugh. I had enough to do trying to keep the altar servers from not breaking out, tho the female ones were in fits of giggles as is.

He was supposed to concelebrate with our normal priest but he just took over everything, noone knew what to do. For the final blessing, he stoop up and ranted for another 10 minutes, then did the exposition of the blessed sacrament, then the blessing! Then when we normally all go down and bow b4 the altar, get up turn round and walk down the aisle, he stayed down and prayed to the blessed sacrament for the whole of "Eagle's Wings". He also during the final blessing tried to flog tapes and cds and books of how to say the rosary lol. Whilst I was standing there waiting for the final blessing, our normal priest goes "Just stand there, I have no bloody idea what's going on" and he was upset cause he couldnt say his weekly joke hehe.

I had a ok day with the exception of dear old brother trying to match me with one of his friends.. apparently He thinks his 35 year old sister should be married again
So i'm hiding in here until the friend of his goes home...lol

Seriously though, what do you mean by 'catholic mass for non religious types'? Is this another form of Catholicism?

Azure, I have had a disappointing day... I've waited all day for the phone to ring, and it hasn't.

And don't be bullied into new relationships... you'll do what's best for you, when the time is right.

Lets hope that the lovely Dragonette graces us with her presence again tonight... she's always so much fun..

squishy hugs for you,I can understand why it has been a disappointing day. I bet the phone will ring real soon. I will do some positive thinking for youto make sure.

I won't be bullied into relationships..I have held off 15 years so far...gawd I should be in a convent hey...lol....My brother and his family are the only family I have left we are very close and he tries to look after me I guess...He means well but this friend of his although a lovely man we have known since I was 5...so I explained to him it would be like dating a "brother".

Well it was an historic night.... the Choke-a-cola Kings actually won!?!?!

Whats all that about?

Well they were leading by 28 at 3/4 then only 18 or so at full time, but even the slight choke could not lose them the game.

*sigh* all very weird.... i am sure the world shall now end.

Was a good night though so i am pretty happy and content
