I heard today on the grapevine that he's selling his house. Can't afford the repayments.
I kinda felt guilty - for about 2.5 seconds! - then I remembered that when he had the kids, he used to send me acounts for half the costs for a toothbrush, lunchbox, socks, etc.
Then the guilt magically disappeared, I poured another bourbon, and toasted his (and the American bitch-wife's) downfall :D

It's a good day ;)

Isn't this called Karma?

I loooove Melbourne!! On the way home and in Albury. Drivin back tomorrow, AFTER I check out that little bric-a-brac place i saw on the way down. :D

Hey there, WQ! All cool. My birthday hasn't really stopped yet! How are the bruises totting up from the GB?? I'm sure you're giving as good as you get!!!! ;)

Ms Moon, I hope everything works out for the young woman in your care. :rose: Looking forward to meeting you, too.

Mr Gil, I hope you and Bandit are feeling much better. :rose:

Australwind, there was a lot happeningin Melb wasn't there? Acland Street was pumping. Gosh, it's changed since I lived there. No more empty derelict shops. The continental bakeries I loved are still there, though!! Just looked this time, no pasties for me. :(

Kiss Me, I hope you're on the mend, well and truly. :rose:

Orlanth, I'm sorry to hear my favourite Garden Gnome is in hospital. Hope you're getting better and all your nurses are reaaaal friendly! ;)

robed_masseur, I was shocked by how dry it is in Vic. There has been a little rain but this place needs a good soaking. Hope you get some Sun today.

Um... started writing this last night and my battery run out. So it's posted today, after I got home and plugged it in.:eek:

I hope I get some today as well! *squints* ooohh - some Sun - pardon me :D

Actually I'm in Adelaide at the moment - here is as dry as Vic, we need the rain here!

:rose:

Damn...got me all excited there Elfie....thought you'd written "leather strips to lasso another subby".....sighs....well one can always dream....how is your wrist action??

 for the kind words regarding the av. It unlaces all the way down....good with knots?

:kiss:MsMoon:kiss:

I reckon with leather strips all I could lasso is a stray nipple..one thing I learnt from playing sport is how to cock the wrist...not much got past me.

Whilst I must confess to not determining my competency with knots, I do believe in applying myself to the task at hand..I still get that buzz from unwrapping packages ;)

Hey Triske,

You were in Melbourne I see. Glad to see you enjoyed our little town, well ok not so little. I guess you got a taste of the hot weather we get during summer. Thankfully it goes away and allows some cooler breezes to come through. But the pattern is the same, it gets hot, it rains, it cools down.

So I guess I shouldn't ask if you did any shopping whilst you were here. I have friends who come down here just for the shopping, oh and to visit me, but mainly the shopping. Asked one of my friends whether she wanted to do any touristy stuff, nope.... unless it included shopping. I dropped her off at one of our biggest shopping centres then picked her up when the shops closed. She had a great time.

Evening all,

Well the work year has started in earnest, fucking earnest I which he would take a bloody holiday.

Last week I was in meetings I had no idea I was required to attend until the last minute. This week not much different. At some point I'm guessing someone will let me actually get some work done. About all I can count on are the lunch breaks until some smart arse thinks about working lunches.

Summer has had its say in Melbourne town. Lots of humidity, warm temps and sweating for no good reason. Need to think about ceiling fans for next summer and possibly an air con in the front of the house if this crap is going to be part of the new summer. We normally get that dry heat during summer. Thankfully cooler temps this week, but it ain't over yet.

The good news is that we are back to level 1 water restrictions. Dams are at 65%. I keep saving water but the water bill keeps going up. Haven't noticed any increase in services just in the service charge. Nothing to do with the carbon tax. Maybe I should take out shares in these rip off merchants. I'll still get ripped off but feel better about it.

Hi, Mr Elf!

I loooove Melbourne! Did live there for a short time years ago, in St Kilda. Have a definite soft spot for the place.

I am a failure as a woman!!!!! Aside from some purchases in Acland St for cherubs, there was NO SHOPPING!!!!:eek::eek:

I was in marvelous company , so shopping became a poor second. And what girl can resist a little pampering??? ;) From what I remember end of fy is the time to shop, anyway.

Planning a trip, probably in late March, to check out Melbourne Uni for the eldest cherub. Might get to see the inside of some shops then.

Be still my beating heart...a woman who can't shop...now the trick is to harvest that gene and ensure it multiplies at warp factor 9. We wouldn't need daylight savings with all that extra time.

Shopping deals only ended the other week. Seems Boxing Day sales now extend for all of Jan. Then don't forget at the end of Feb is the end of summer sales, then the new season sales, then of course Easter, etc, etc.

Actually I do remember some clothing shops in Acland St. I tend to look like the local security when waiting outside these shops. I mainly go to Acland St. for the cakes, yummo!

I'm afraid that I still tortured my friend by dragging him into little shops and pouring over oddities and nicknacks - all in the quest for gifts for my cherubs, of course! He took it all in good humour, bless him. And I enjoyed the dry comments that punctuated the exercise. :) His torture was short lived and no retribution incured. (Shame that...)

My three fave pastry shops are still there!!!!! All is right in the world. *sigh*

I just came out of the shower, looked in the mirror while doing my hair, and saw...
MY MOTHER!!!

Emergency trip to the hairdresser tomorrow - this must be rectified immediately.
