Does your religion respects atheists or we damned sinners?

My religion both respects atheists and believes that they are wrong.

Interesting paradox, eh?

Yep, Athiests are another religion, and all religions are "correct".

And what is the point of the label? Are they good people? That's all that matters to me.

I was not aware that Atheism was a religion

Religion - what religion? I don't do religion - stifles the soul and weakens the mind. I also think that Atheism closes a door to what has yet to be proven one way or the other: God or no God.

I think I consider myself as spiritual. :rose:

Hi, Zmey! :)

Naw I look at it this way

I'm not going to hell! Well I might come close but you are sooooo going there.

Peace,
Tulip

heh I never done that ...

ok how about taking a shit on a front lawn of White House?

Ok on a serious note.....

Obviously you are curious at this point of your life otherwise you wouldn't be asking such a question.

To me I think that it depends on the way a person lives their life. I have met many that have been confused on what religion is "right" for them. Others that simply didn't believe in a higher being. I suppose it is what makes you happy.

I personally believe in a higher power. I was rasied with a religion that I still to this day believe in its principles. To be in a spiritual level is a wonderful place to be. Tranquility and peace. A focal point. There is too much beauty in the world to deny it. That is my opinion.

There have been many people I know that did not believe in a higher power or were too confused to figure out what religion was for them. Several athiest friends brought to my attention that most people placed in a dramatic situation such as a car accident will utter Ohhh My God and religious figures. If you think about it people have uttered such words during cumming.

Another friend shared this with me: He was searching to see if there was a higher power. If he concluded that there wasn't, he would do anything he felt he could do. If there was he would try to live his life in the best possible way that he felt God would accept. So on this journey he went to a fair to figure it out for himself. He saw a disection of a cow's eye. The closest animal eye there is to man. Within the dynamics of it all he realized that there was a God. To him it was that simple because he felt that the smallest detail of the eye could not have simply been an accident or big bang theory. That something greater had to have occurred.

Don't worry there is no judgement on my part whether you believe or not. Remember it goes both ways.

OK back to fluff type of talk.

Peace,
Tulip

You didn't? You are so going to Hell! Either that or the CIA who is monitoring us as per some posters are reading this and tracing you at this moment. Don't ANSWER THE DOOR. Run...............

Atheists as viewed in my religion

My religion takes a consistent position that atheists' bodies should be harvested for their bodily organs.

I am uncomfortable with that position and have recently stepped down as an Elder in my local church.

ok there is no reason to insult my fluffing skills... that was uncalled for ;)

I don't deny what I don't know . That would be close minded but I don't blindly believe in something either. I don't like the idea of being a slave and most religions impose that on you. My own opinion is that people turn to religion because of weakness of the mind and Jesus and Mohammed realized that weakness exploited it long ago... I guess need to believe is part of being human ...

It is human nature

to believe in things. I know I want to believe in love. You want to believe in people. To believe in family members. We blindly put our faith in others all the time.

Jeez getting off this topic. If you want a deep ........................
conversation that is let me know. Perhaps I'll go that way.

That fluffing is good. You seem to be a natural in it. :)

Tulip

Dont have a religion here, am an independent spiritualist whom learns from many religions and faiths. Doesnt matter to me whether some one is an athiest or not. Doesnt take having or not having a religion to be a good person.

One of the best religious quotes I have ever seen is;

" There are many paths to enlightenment"Dhali Lhama

And if one were to hypothetically look at things from a christian standpoint. Who do you think has the better chance to get in to the biblical heaven.. an athiest whom treated all in life greatly.. or a devious child raping priest ?

The answer is far to obvious isnt it. And we are what we are unto others.

Perhaps you right. but love and people can be seen touched or experienced ... you can not do that with God...

Based on recent legal events....

Atheism does not tolerate the existence of any other religious expression. Neither did Communism.
