Tyrael, I liked the two from the final fantasy series, and the "under arrest" pic. The super heroines were ok, but nothing I would go looking for on my own. Not sure what is was about those 3, but they just were blah to me. I guess you could say the same about the "oh say can you see" pic also, just not my cup of tea.

If you could post more along the same lines of the FF pictures I would appreciate it.

Tryael, Loved Lulu, a corsetted geisha, to cool. I also liked the Nun and Tigress for the concept. There is nice detail in most and the use of light on the figures is interesting. I am not sure about the breast. I understand in this genre exaggerated features are the norm so it is just my personal thing. Overall I liked them.

I liked these two, ther rest were okay but nowhere near as nice as these.

Question: I noticed something with the geisha, a previous drawing you put up in the FF thread, and on a website that had some Japanese (I think) porn. The woman's genital area is hidden in one form or another. In the two drawings the area was "pixelated", on the porn site (the one with the teddy bear) the area (and the face) were dodged out (somebody used the "dodge" tool to over expose the area - essentially whiting them out).

Why is that? Is there something with Japanese porn that requires this?

Yeah..from what I hear exposed genitals is taboo in Japan. Seeing that every one of my japanese manga has black boxes over them it's prolly more of a law.

Yes, there is a law in Japan that does not allow the showing of female genitalia. Not sure why, but I know it exists.

Yeah, this is why you see nude characters drawn with out nipples or genitalia. (See Tenchi Muyo OVA et.al) Sexual arousal is indicated when the male character gets a nose bleed.
