Willful ignorance.

My neighbor's kids aka my "nieces & nephews" in spirit smiling.

The Art of War, All Quiet on the Western Front, Jurassic Park, Starship Troopers.

Way back when (where's Mr. Peabody?) someone who is no longer here.

There is a consensus that he is doing a good job with the circumstances we are dealing with, some dislike aspects of his policies and dealings. But overall I'm thinking he'll likely be re-elected.

Certainly could have. In fact both would have involved Canada. If the General Staff of the BEF (British Expeditionary Force) had listened to the talent in General Arthur Currie (Canadian) and General Julian Byng then perhaps it would have. As both had overall strategies that involved detailed planning, instruction of clear and concise objectives down to the platoon and section level and overlapping/adjacent units knowing each other's jobs. And of course the adage of "pay the cost of victory in shells not lives."

In WW2, if the Dieppe Raid had been successful and the secret commando unit using the raid as cover for finding and stealing the new Enigma machine and codebooks... The yes it might have lasted much longer.

Canada gained a sense of nationhood in WW1 when we did the impossible against imperial powers on European soil.

WW2 proved Canada was ready to be a world leader, as at the time a theater of the war (the north atlantic) was commanded by a Canadian admiral. Canada had the 3rd largest navy, and 4th largest army and airforce at the end of the war.

Political violence is largely alien in Canada. Namely due to protests largely being peaceful and I suspect gun ownership not thought of a right but a responsibility. The only recent issues were the attacks on Canadian Forces members in Quebec and the lone man assault on Parliament back in 2015 IIRC, one soldier in Quebec was killed and one reservist acting as an honour guard at the tomb of the unknown solder in Ottawa dies. That gunman later stormed parliament and was shot and killed there.

The only other main political violence seen in Canada was the FLQ crisis in 1970 and when Thomas Darcy McGee was assassinated back in 1868.

Is there much racial diversity there in Canada?

What is your favorite household or home chore?

Do you have an item you kept from childhood that means something to you? If so, what is it?

What is your proudest achievement of your use of bar trivia?

What was the most difficult question you remember answering of bar trivia?

Do you foresee any disagreements with other countries plaguing or of worry to Canada that may need to be nipped in the bud as soon as possible?

Part 1. Would you be one to watch a bar fight, help stop one, leave when things get testy or mind your own business?

Part 2. What if it involved a friend and he/she was wrong as 2 left shoes?

Are you the designated driver of your group of friends, the instigator for drinking up or would join in but not for too long?

Apologies if I may have asked this before but, what is your drink of choice while out?

How many drinks does it take to get you drunk?

Quite actually. Canada prides itself on being a mixed salad over a melting pot as it were.

Cooking, I do love to eat.

I have some toys from childhood I'd like to pass on some day if possible.

Back to back victories with a team of 3 vs a team of 7.

The boarder between the US and Canada being open/closed.

I have helped stopped several.

I have pulled said friend out a few times in the past.

I am more than often the designated driver. It's what I do.

Depending on what I'm drinking. I usually try to space it out so it don't get drunk as it were. I dislike losing my faculties.

What country would you NOT travel back to or have no interest in traveling to?

Do you get sick often?

Can you draw?

When was the last fight you were in?

What kind of dog would you get if you were to get one?

QUOTE=WildDaisie;94004286]What is your favorite word?[/QUOTE]

This thread is about asking questions for the creator of this thread to answer. WHAT is the question starter. Either that or maybe you might want to address the creator with that question.

I’m hoping I don’t sound salty with my answer. At times, I tend to be blunt.

Norther Korea, I am intrigued but something about it scares me.

Lately I have not. I thank frequent handwashing and wearing a mask.

Not at all, my artistic abilities in the visual medium are non existent.

Three years ago.

A mutt :) Mixed breeds tend to be healthier.
