I do not retain any friends from my youth, just college years and older.
That said, skinny-dipping on a July 4 night on Santa Monica beach with new friends was a fine howdy-do. We are still friends.

I had a small social gathering of friends two weeks ago. Nothing fancy, snacks and drinks and socializing on the occasion of two friends who had moved out of the area being in the area for a visit.
Do you plan social events, or are they more of the "let's get together" impromptu sort of thing?

Almost always planned. Sunday nights are the wild card when a large meal is cooked and any available friends and family might drop by.

This has actually been going on (though not connected to this) for a couple of weeks locally and I've supported students at 2 local schools by attending and honoring them. Living very near a school that where many kids were victims of a mass shooting in 2012, I'm really impressed by how these young people are demanding to be heard and feel drawn there.
How are weekends different thank weekdays for you?

Weekends are typically more laid back. Sometimes. My week can be quite draining and I need the weekend to charge back up. I’m not sure I ever get fully recharged, but a little boost is really quite lovely.

I’m a wings girl. Grilled hot wings and blue cheese for dipping. I like the veggies too, no need to be stingy on those.

Most of the times I am a creature of habit so yes, mostly. But there are those adventurous days where you just need to mix it up and try something new.
