those aren't goat's testicles are they??? no that was what the guy who shared the table with me ate.... he offered and I did sample the chicken wings though....

nope I just enjoyed my charcoal roasted lamb kebabs covered in cumin and hot chili peppers while watching the world go by.... this little Xinjian restaurant is right outside my office....

here is a picture of the kebabs being roasted.... you can smell them up and down the street... and boy do they taste good...

freshhotgirl.... they do have a wonderful cold cucumber dish with garlic and chili there and the cucumbers here in Beijing taste so much better than stateside for some reason.....

thought I'd post one more of the kebabs for lunch today.... you gotta admire the entreprenuerism of these people travelling thousands of miles along what was the Silk Road from Kashgar to set up a little sidewalk restaurant in Beijing.... complete with Central Asian pop music from the tiny boombox
