:D Okay! But I'm very quiet, just be prepared. :) And you can do all the talking. I'll do all the listening. :rose:

Some people find the wet market smelly and unpleasant. They're probably right, but wherever I've been to a wet market (so far, only in the Philippines, HK, Singapore, Seattle...and that's it, I think), I find it vibrant and interesting, very close to the real heart of life.

Where else can you see a mother arranging baskets and baskets of tomatoes in a huge pile while her baby sleeps in one of the empty baskets beside her?

Or a vendor who "drops" some vegetables as ragged children walk by and shouts at them to pick up the dirty vegetables and take them home?

Wet markets are smelly all right, but they're wonderful places. :)

The Birds

These aren't very clear. I took the pictures through the kitchen window so I wouldn't frighten the mama and papa birds. I haven't even peeked into the nest when I water the trees because they get very nervous.

Ewps!

I forgot to attach the picture...

See the nest? I can hear little "cheep cheep" noises coming out of it all day and all night. Good thing this is not near the bedrooms!

Hiya Gusty Pie :)

I'm making dinner early. Going to see a play tonight with a friend.
I'll tell you about it tomorrow.

:rose:

I might post late if my computer behaves :)

Are you going to get some sleep tonight?

Yes, that's on the balcony near the kitchen--it's really just a little square of space where I keep the barbeque grill. :)

What's for dinner at your house (my usual question, right?)?

I'm making chicken and pork adobo, pumpkin and rice.
