And, if you need any help fitting them... I could lend a hand or two. :D

How sweet of you, Magic! And helpful too. Of course, I assume you're doing out of a strong urge to better womankind... :p ;)

I got fitted a couple of months ago. I was close with the band size but off by about 3 cup sizes on the bras I was trying to wear. I tried on a couple in the size that was recommended by the fitting and it's amazing how much more lifted up the girls are now that I'm wearing a bra that's actually the right size. Now I'm just at a point of needing someone else to come by and see me in my new bras that are really really awesome and kinda sexy lookin too.

as someone in the field: good article. a lot of women don't realize that the band size and cup size don't always correlate. many bra manufacturers, btw, will charge one price for what's generally called "average figures", ranging from 34-38 band sizes and usually up to d cups, and a bit more for full figures, which are any larger band sizes and anything larger than a d cup (dd, ddd, etc). you have to use a heavier gauge of underwire in full figure bras, and the lightness you like in some bras just isn't up to the job for full figure garments.

look here silverwhisper.....either everyone is my size or they don't make very many bras in my size. I have a heck of a time finding anything off the rack.

Are you a D too. The right ones are really a bitch to find. La Senza has good ones if you can find them. Anywhere else I've tried they have the stupid ones that make you look like you are wearing a set of pylons.

CF: go to VS next time you're in a mall and get sized. or to whatever department store you favor. i had to tell my wife she was wearing the wrong size a year ago.

you might have trouble finding your size if it's not a very common one: stores only place orders for [pieces] of a given style/size/color. if it isn't a common one (e.g., 34b, 36c, 38c), you're bound to have problems. try shopping online--but steer clear of VS catalog/online. i have reason to believe the goods are of lesser quality than you'll find in the stores.

Strickly an urge to better womankind, and I like to help out. :D
(I DO have magic fingers - LOL)
I hate seeing women with their back bands up around their shoulderblades, and cups that are obviously wrong.
Women with a perfect fit look, well, more perfect.

W&U, I'd be happy to come see your new, fabulous bras. :p
Hope you find some one special to appreciate them soon.

You know, I was married and we were almost a perfect fit, except
I made B plusses in school and She made A minuses,
I Have B+ blood and she has A-,
My hands are B+, and...yes, her breasts are A-. :D
It just didn't work out.

Yep, the right fit is important.

I heard

That you are supposed to measure under the breasts to get the number size, like 34 or 36, go up one if it is odd;
Then measure across the tips of your breasts. Take the difference between the two, do something with it, and that is your cup size.
Like 2" bigger might be "A", 4"-"C", 5"-"D", or something like that.

Has anyone heard that method?

True, and they tell you how to do those measurements on the VS website as well. :)

Thanks. Ya know, you're not that horribly far from me location wise and all ;)

i work in a lingerie store in australia and its true...so many women wear the wrong size because they think the size they have is what they should wear. and women get angry at us when we size them and say what they should be wearing. its not just about looking good, its about feeling good and looking after your best assets!

I'm looking, I'm looking

As you try them on for me.
