Are you now shunning the selfishly unboosted?

How recently must someone have received a booster shot before you will deign to associate with them?

How quickly in casual conversation do you drop in a reference to your boosted status?

Do you support the idea of some sort of signifier worn on one's clothing to let people know you've done your part towards totally wiping out an endemic virus?

Should the unboosted be simply sent to internment camps for the duration?

I pretty much shun all people.

I even worry about contracting a virus from Lit. :D ;) ;)

Most people* I share my breathin' air with are quick to assure me that they are "fully vaccinated." I am too polite to point out to them that one can never truly be "fully" vaccinated. Perhaps I should come up with a gambit to sneak a peek at their vax passports.

"Say, I really enjoy seeing the variety of scrawls Docs use as signatures. Might I peruse your fax record, just for funsies?"

*Those that violently endanger my very existence with their anti-vaxxer denial of The Science ™ Are not "people" in the civilized sense of the word, naturally.

Ironic that those most vested in Social Justice
are among those screaming the loudest...

They should be happy to contribute
to the eradication of poverty.

Why do they lock doors?

;) ;)

As the virus adapts to the vaccine, it seems prudent to wait for the reformulated booster.

hey...

"All recipients requiring signs will report to Ron White line 1...
all others will report to Line 2 for their 666 tattoo on their foreheads."

Since I had barely a cough or sniffle in the past two years, I may have natural immunity, which I would like to share. I can make a limited quantity of medicine, which must be swallowed to be effective.

Once vaccines became available to anyone who wanted one, and it became clear only the stupid were now unvaccinated, I lost interest in talking about vaccines.

It's not much different than trying to convince someone they should wear a seatbelt, or look both ways before crossing a busy street. If they have a philosophical objection to either thing, what fact or logic could change their mind?

Most diseases discriminate based on economic status. People with more resources have less medical problems, over all. In this instance, we have a disease that discriminates based on political status. The mortality statistics have shown a consistent trend since the vaccines became available. People in neocon voting districts are contracting Covid19 and dying at a higher rate than in other districts. Maybe it's a coincidence that conservatism and antivaxxers are concentrated in the same groups, but stupid is, as stupid does.

The pandemic has become a self cleaning oven. It will eventually burn away most of those who don't do the smart thing, leaving the smart people to sweep out the ashes.

That begs one question. "Why aren't the homeless dropping like flies?" Poor health, poor hygiene, and poor diet. They should have been right up there with the elderly as far as death rates but they aren't.

Who says they aren't? Just because you don't see dead guys on the curb with a "Will work for food" sign in their cold fingers, doesn't mean homeless people didn't die of Covid19. Deaths due to Covid19 get counted if a person happens to die under medical care. A dead guy found curled up in a cardboard box under an overpass is just a dead bum.

But, declining to get vaccinated because you haven't seen any dead bums under an overpass is as good a reason as any.

I think an old Irish proverb applies here, "Don't give cherries to pigs, or advice to fools."
I'll add that neither the pig nor the fool will appreciate it.

Comshaw

The shot is also a loyalty oath.

I can't shun them all, but I can decline the ride on a sinking ship.

In this situation, the pig gives all the reasons cherries are bad. The fool would do the same, but he's listening to the pig.

As a general rule I always try and avoid stupid people.
