I'm going to reply to my thoughts on how I'm connected here. But first, I just have to reply to how I feel connected to Ab.

Baby? You were one of the very first Litters who welcomed me to the bb. If I'm not mistaken, it was in the Rate the Av above you thread. You gave me a 10 for my stockings and garters av. Whichever, you were one of the first to "talk" to me. I have always made it a point to post in your AD Room thread everyday. You're like my "cyberworld" next door neighbour. If we were in real life, I would definitely hang out with you. We'd be probably do all those fun things we talk about in your thread. No, I don't mean necessarily THAT. I mean the movies, listening to KISS, sipping on cocoa. You're a lot like I am. I feel very comfortable around you.

First I would like to say Thank You ! I'm feel a very stong connection with you as well . . . not only for the things we chat about . . . it's more than that. I have not been well for quite sometime and you always came by to check up on me . . . to see how I was feeling. That's how connections are made . . . when you really read someone's thread and know they are not in the best of ways and you comfort them and wish them well. I too would think I would enjoy time with you if we were indeed real life neighbors...

I like to project myself mainly as a fun person. I love making people laugh. I'm not shy by any means, but I can be very sensitive at times. As a result of this, I lost someone who I had thought wanted to be friends. Alas, his loss is all I can say.

When I "meet" someone on the bb, I look for humour first, then I look at other characteristics. yes, there are some I dislike on the bb, but they are ones that I knew from chat.

If anyone I meet on the bb wishes to go further and use Instant Messenger as another vehicle, then great! Our connection goes deeper. Some of my Yahoo friends I've known for over 4 years and we are still very close. We may not chat daily on Yahoo, but hell, you don't chat daily with them in real life either.

So you take making connections with people one step closer to RL situations with your webcam. I always look at someones eyes before the rest but depending on what i am looking for out of that person relationship wise depends whether i look deep or just on the surface. I have found that a whole body and face can be covered yet the eyes still make understanding possible, so that raises the question is a connection with another a real connection if you can not see them or their eyes?

While I do make a big deal of the eyes, You could just as easily keep them hidden from me. I love eyes, and being able to use them to know what's going on is great and all, but I can often tell what's being thought anyways...that's just me I guess.

You are right AD it is those that check up on us, who notice when we are gone and what to know why and how they can help that we can truely say we have connected with. It is also great to know how they feel about us because that is how connections and relationships deepen.

I agree . I really hate when someone that I talk to in the threads is suddenly gone . . . I can only hope that when those moments happen that they are alright. I too am affraid I might be gone for a while and would not want anyone to worry.

I am like this in real life too. While I hope that my humour gets a laugh or two, sometimes it works the opposite way. I don't worry about it too much. I just have fun and move on.

Sometimes humour is a way of avoiding a deeper connection the fear of rejection and the hurt it can cause is often the motivation. Yet humour is a wonderful gift, to truely make someone laugh and smile you have to have a connection with them, and therefore even without knowing it you may have deeper connections with people than you know of.

I hope they find out soon so that you get some sense of where to go and some relief. To win a battle one must know what they are fighting. Unfortunately sometimes the enemy keeps changing but that is where the people around us can help.
