The order of sub 1 units

deci- ### i think it's d, but I haven't had to do deci for a long time ### 10^-1
centi- ### c ### 10^-2
mili- ### m ### 10^-3
micro- ### mu (the thing that looks like a u w/ an extra tail) ### 10^-6
nano- ### n ### 10^-9
pico ### p ### 10^-12


Unless you're in particle physics, you don't generally deal with anything smaller than pico-.

The ones in the other direction are familiar to most computer users (Kilo, Mega, Giga, Tera ### k, M, G, T ### 10^3, 10^6, 10^9, 10 ^12).

Those should be all the units you need to know for most math and science books or classes.
