Is it worth buying the hardware to put it onto my laptop?

Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.

What hardware is needed?
I still way over my head with my Droid.
It's made to WORK with a touch screen, so it can cross platforms like a tablet, PC with a touch screen, and phones...but it won't turn your system into a touch screen system unless you already have a touch screen monitor.
One PC geek friend of mine is totally in love with it...but it IS Windows, so who knows just yet...anxious to see for myself as well...
Oh, and watch it, if the JAJ is asking about hardware...he'll need a tissue in no time flat...

Oh, maybe I misheard it.
I was sure they said something about being able to fit new hardware to enable home use without having to buy a new computer.

I sent it ..........don't know how it didn't get there
Yeah - I keep finding funky new things I can do with my tablet and my phone.
Windows 8: All you need to know.
-------------------------------------------
*shrug*
It's no big difference from Windows 7.
* A new start screen thing that is easy to use with a touch screen but works just fine with the ol' mouse.
* A bunch of full screen apps (as opposed to programs in resizeable windows) that you can use if you want to or ignore if you like the old way of doing things. Most programs will run and look like before.
* An app store for more of those apps, like on an Ipad or Android decive. Nothing anyone really needs, but might be fun.
* Random other interface tweaks.
If you have a regular ol' PC that runs Windows Vista or Windows 7 and is ok with it, there's no reason to upgrade.
If you buy a new PC from now on, it'll come with Windows 8. When you do, see if you can get one with a touch screen. Windows 8 works just fine without, but a bit better with.
Been on the prerelease at work for six months with no major hickups. You forgot:
* Will be so buggy and full of security holes that you'll be downloading updates for the next year.

And dude, there's awlays updates for Windows. Win 7 got patched just the other day. It's the nature of the beast.
I know, I got the d/l message when I logged off the other night. It might be nice if M$ actually tested their stuff before releasing it.

I tried the RC, and hated it. Since that time, I heard major improvements were made.
Problem is, I cannot buy it right this moment. I suppose it is released tomorrow.
