Anyone noticed follower count frozen?

I'm getting a steady stream of notifications of new followers, but my follower count has been stuck at 1914 for a week. Could be that for every new follower, someone leaves, but looks more like Lit's busted...?

I've noticed the same thing. Several times, I received a message, "XXX is following you," but the numbers didn't change. Then, perhaps a couple weeks later, I'd see the number increase. I attribute it to a glitch in Literotica's system.

Something weirder. My follower count was 77 a couple of month ago when it dropped to 76. It's been 76 ever since. Just now it is 77 so I checked the activity log to see who the new follower was and there is no notification of any new follower. I did actually get a new comment on an old story, my first comment in over a month, though. There is a notification for that.

The list is slow to update. To see your current total, go to "Following" in your Dashboard, click on "My followers" (which will also show the wrong number), and count how many pages (of 10 followers) there are, and how many on the last page.

I've noticed something like this over the last few weeks. I've picked up a few followers, but at a slower pace than previously. To a degree that was surprising.

Most of the count statistics will vary depending on where you look. Some places get updated faster than others. It's hit or miss at best.

There's pretty standard single source of truth model in enterprise application development that I don't think Laurel and Manu are following, but I don't know anything about their architecture, so I'll reserve judgement and assume they're doing what they can with what they have, and not worry about it. I'm pretty sure I'm missing 427 followers, but that could just be my ego wanting that next nice round number with zeroes on the end. Who's to say?

I also noticed that my follower count is frozen, but then again - I don’t get a single “started following you” notification, so maybe there’s some bigger issue going on.

I got the last new follower notification yesterday, and the count in the panel seems to have been updated to reflect that. I’m not high profile enough to grt new followers on the daily, so at least from my point of view everything seems to be in order.

Yeah, huh. There's definitely something busted in Lit. I'm still at 1914 on the admin panel, but if you click on a story it says "Oneagainst 1934 followers"

Ditto. I got a new one about an hour ago, and it shows up in the favorite author list, but not on my control panel. If I pick up any new followers, I'll check again.

My works page went up seven and I don't see seven new ones in the last few hours so maybe its counting again?

Always possible Manu saw this and rebooted something, but it's probably just an issue of pages updating at different times. I've never paid much attention to the follower number either. I look about every six months or so to see whether I'm just above or just below 100. Seems to be my limit with my sporadic level of production.

My follower count is frozen at 125. Looking that page 13 has 10 entries, I have 130 by now. I got perhaps a follower every other day since 125, so it seems to me that the update script hasn't been running in the past 10 days.

This same thing happened like 8 or 9 months ago. I had some back and forth with Manu about it at the time. It got much better since until recently where I’ve noticed it happening again as many of you have. Definitely a Lit glitch.
