Anyone know a reasonably priced, decent hotel in DC?

Neither of us has ever spent anything more than a flying visit in Washington, I thought we'd go down for a couple of days and be tourists. But I object to paying an arm and a leg for somewhere to sleep when you're out all day. Any recommendations, Lit people?

Last time there, I stayed in a hotel just off the road in Alexandria. Homewood Suites or something like that. It was clean.

What is your definition of "reasonably priced?"

Have you tried the internet? Also don't be a cheap ass.

That actually looks pretty good.

That's a good deal for the room. Thor suggested Homewood Suites, which is great but it's more of a small apartment with kitchenette and such. Probably too much for the amount of "living" you'll do there.

Safe neighborhood, walking distance to a metro station and walking distance to the monuments on the West side of the Mall

I thought the Melrose Georgetown was pretty nice, reasonably priced, and it was very close to a Metro stop and some decent restaurants. And it's got a bit more charm than some of the big chains.

now i just gotta find out how to keep him quiet when we are near the historical areas

ya'll should have heard him when i took him to Philadelphia
