I'm going out to LA in a couple of weeks and I'll be down in San D for a day and a half visiting my brother. So what we are trying to decide is whether we should go to the San Diego Zoo or the wild animal park. I haven't been to the zoo since I was a kid, so either would be new to me really.

So which do you recomend for a one day trip? Basically I want to see the most amount of animal life possible. lol

Yummy_Baby from the Pics forum and the Personals Playground is from SD. She was (or is) a bartender at a place that has Wet T-shirt Contests. You should look her up!

:D

You know the Playground frightens me Beefcake. lol I'm sure there are a couple of GB folks from out that way.

I lived in San Diego up until a year ago. I would recommend the Zoo for a day trip. When I left they were opening the wild animal park at night time too (not sure if they still do). Maybe you could do one in the daytime and one at night.:)

LOL Not really Tinkles. Unless you were born in the zoo? But I doubt that.

Thanks Tanantah (is that right? What does that mean anyway?). I was thinking that would be the case. I remember parts of the zoo from a trip when I was 9, but most of the video is of my dads ass. Mom forgot to turn the cam off. lol There is some footage of me running from some peacocks, and I vaguely remember riding an elephant. I think. lol I had an active imagination, I may have just pretended the elephant part until I believed it acutally happened. Most of my childhood is like that.

I went to SD last August. My kids were totally wild about the zoo and they were bored to death at the wild animal park.

Personally, I liked the zoo better also, and you see the same animals. More or less, they are just in their natural habitat at the park.

If I were to go again, I'd definitely leave out the park.

The zoo? What are you, 12? Girl, there has got to be some adult activity in San Diego tailor made for you and your brother.

Okay, I hate zoos. Let the flames begin.

Adult activity with my brother? That sounds so...gross. lol

I love zoos. I love theme parks and haunted hay rides and Disney movies. There's still a lot of kid in me and I'm sure there always will be. Hell, I still watch looney tunes.

Here's a question, what is an entertaining adult activity to do with a sibling?

Oh! Thank you angeleyes. I think that's what I'm going to do.

I hate zoos, too. Shamu? Puh-leeeeze!

But they have this really cool museum of death and murder, or something along those lines, in SD. I forget the name of it. I think it was a private museum in some guy's house, but you might want to check it out. Lots of disturbing stuff in there.

Yes! Forget the cuddly cappybara, nevermind the feline graced of the King of the Jungle! The Museum of death and murder is THE spot for family fun!

Ok actually it sounds like a place I'd go to. But not this trip. I haven't been on a real vacation in 2 years. All I do is fly back and forth from the state of weain'tpredjudicewejusthatethemtharmexicans Nebraska 4 times a year and occasionally spend a weekend in NYC with my old roommate.

I want fun in the sun. I want carefree and joyful. I want to laugh until my stomach aches and my throat is sore. I want to smile till I've earned laugh lines.

The museum of Death and Murder does not seem like something that will help me approach my goal.

You'll see more animals at the Zoo, but I like the Wild Animal Park because they're in the natural environment. Go to the Zoo this time, and do the WIld Animal Park the next.

Thank you kitty mama. That's my plan. Now that my brother is out there I'll probably be back every other year or so. I have plenty of time, just not in this trip.

I'm giddy with the prospect of a vacation that is purely for fun and friends.
