It wasn't easy capturing the label, as it's a pretty dense graphic. Glenlivet followed by this red wine to accompany skillet-fried burgers. Hitchcock perfected the evening.

Same here (clearly). I really enjoy Ménage à Trois, for example, but that label is not welcome here according to SWMBO. So I tried a bottle of Monogamy, and it was tasteless, dull, and had a dry finish.

I'd rather mix it with Gnarly Head.

For the record, buying a bottle labeled Gnarly Head apparently does not suffice as foreplay. Nor is it a sufficient hint.

Tonight's selection was Baron de Ley Gran Reserva 2010 from Rioja.

So good! It went very well with the food and it wasn't too bad on its own either. I think I'm gonna have to buy another bottle.

My daughter has that bottle in her collection! She loves the macabre labels. She learned from me, I guess, because I'm always drawn to labels that tell some sort of story, or have a subtle joke.

I have a sore throat today from allergies and I'm craving my favorite toddy...hot black tea with a few cloves, a cinnamon stick, and a shot of B&B.

I bought J a set of new whisky glasses for Christmas, like we don't have enough of those already. He loved the gift and I've become a fan, too.

We've spent two nights tasting whiskeys from three different types of glasses. The differences are staggering, really. It's amazing how much the glass influences what nuances turn out to be the strongest, especially to the nose.

This almost makes me want to invest in a range of different types of wine glasses. Then I remember how jam packed our kitchen cabinets are as is and I keep on being happy with the three different kinds of wine glasses we have.

I know what you mean. I have said this before, but I am a total glass snob when it comes to wine. I totally don't enjoy it out of a plastic cup and tend to drink it mostly at home or at friend houses, in a glass I like. I have been known to bestow gifts of wine glasses upon friends so I can drink wine at their house
