Recently, a bottle of Apothic Dark - on the recommendation of none other than Curious_in_Cali. It was quite good. And, appropriately, served to make a re-watching of Star Wars even more delightful. No, I was not seduced by the Dark Side. I'm a Rebellion man, for sure.

I like spiced rum, but I don't particularly care for Captain Morgan's. I have been drinking Sailor Jerry, which I actually liked more than any other spiced rum I have tried. I was just drinking it on the rocks, very smooth and tasty!

Calvados is my favorite choice for deglazing when I want to add some refined zip to my pan sauces. I think it's a perfect any-time sip.

I have been enjoying mine just with water and ice, whereas I used to mix it with coke or 7-up. Maybe I should try CM again...

In a distillery.
In Finland. It's aged in sherry casks, so it's really fruity and round. The mouthfeel was right on the edge of being too oily for me, but not too oily yet. I usually prefer my whiskies a bit sharper, but yesterday it just worked. Maybe because of the smoky porter I had before it, or maybe I just felt particularly fruity.

It's Finnish, so Finland's probably the safest bet. Maybe you can order it online as well, I don't know.

I wish I liked whisky, or any hard liquor really... other than spiced rum, I just don't care for it, and have to drown whatever it is in a bunch of coke or 7-up. This, though, sounds interesting. And of course it's relatively unattainable

I was willing to assume that it wasn't made in a bakery, even by those very clever Finns.
