Speaking of crimes that ought to be brought to the attention of the good folks at The Hague, from a regional winery near me:

ROFL! I dare you to try some. I dare you.![]()
Is 9:25AM too early for a drink?
I just got a very unexpected gift. A bottle of calvados, and now I can't wait to try it. So is 9:25 ok, or should I wait until 10?

You can go as early as 8 on a Monday![]()

Whew. I clearly need to brush up on the rules a little.
Besides I have a cold, and calvados is a renown remedy for that, right?![]()

I can only get capt. Morgans here easily. But I finished my bottle today by the fire, it was very nearly empty, less than a measure, so decided the space was more valuable.

Teerenpeli Kaski whisky. Nicer than I remembered it being. Very fruity, hardly any smoke or peat, but works well after the smoky porter I had.
Sounds marvelous. Where's it made?

sounds very interesting.. will look for this next time i am traveling.. which part of the world is it easy to come by?
In a distillery.In Finland.
It's aged in sherry casks, so it's really fruity and round. The mouthfeel was right on the edge of being too oily for me, but not too oily yet. I usually prefer my whiskies a bit sharper, but yesterday it just worked. Maybe because of the smoky porter I had before it, or maybe I just felt particularly fruity.
