Anyone for a nightcap?

I need a martini...stat!

Just back from having the "girls" squished", photographed, fondled and poked...yes, poked, with my least favorite thing in the world.

No huge alarm bells went off but the lump raised some concerns. I will have test results back in two or three days, at which time I will either be celebrating or booking a flight back to Canada.

But what the heck, I'm going to preemptively celebrate tonight. Cheers to anyone who's crazy enough to still be awake!

Oh, and kudos to the Kiwi medical system! Today I dealt with the most competent and caring doctor I have ever met in my life and every staff member was over-the-top professional, friendly and fantastic at their job. Well done.

Yey for the celebratory drinks! All I can join you with is a cup of coffee

And thanks for keeping us up-dated :)

(I've been reading about the Dengue Fever worry ... considering how much do mosquitoes love me it is a worrisome thing. DEET-vibes your way for when you go back)

:rose:

Hooray! :rose:

No booze for me tonight, though. *sigh* I gotta get this freaken homework done. *grr*

Mozzies are just evil.

Sorry about the homework but happy Mommies Day, Gracie.

Thanks guys! I'll tell you what, after being poked about 20 times, with local anesthetic, I'm pretty sure that any kind of needle-breast play is right out the question. Ouch! Damn my dense breast tissue.

Thanks. I'd have done it today, but my youngest spent most of the morning and afternoon puking. Then my middle girl got the runs, and by this evening my oldest was hurling, too.

It's been a great day. :D

Just a simple lager with my burger. No special quaffs for the yankster tonight.

Are you just changing AVs to mess with me?

Although this one is far superior to the the sandwich AV.

;)

~LB, who is too tired from manual labor to do much drinking tonight. When is a vacation, really a vacation, I ask?

*makes mental note to change to the tofu sandwich at a surprising moment, just to mess with LB :D

Keroin,
Although I'm not drinking much tonight, I will raise a glass to the girls and send good thoughts your way. And very happy to hear that you are feeling good about your care. This is a good thing.

Bottled water and Ibuprofen [I'd rather have wine].

I am not masochistic enough to be able to enjoy the crap going on with my joints right now...

Moving hurts.
I am too out of shape, I think, to be doing all of this bending and lifting.

Even though we have movers hired to do the actual moving of the stuff, I still have to box stuff. And even though we have given away or donated a boatload, there is still too much stuff.

My June 1 resolution is to start strengthening my abs. Because my back really hurts right now. Even more as I contemplate unpacking all of this stuff in the new home.

Ibuprofen and lemon water tonight. And it was well over 100 degrees here today so I won't go into detail about about my lovely aroma atm. I'm not sure I can stand to be around myself right now. I know the dogs keep running away from me.

~LB
who would definitely prefer to be laying back on a chaise sipping wine while someone else did all the work.

Just water here, as well. My heavy lifting has been almost exclusively mental and, frankly, diving into the liquor closet would cause all sorts of trouble that I just don't need presently.

LB, I lift my water glass to you. Abs training sounds like a marvelous idea. :rose:

After my afternoon nap, I am going to have a glass of the very nice tequila I bought at the duty free and some of my Lindt chocolate. Tonight I am stress free for the first time in three months.

Does this mean all went well?

Should I be stress-free too?

Sounds wonderful, K. Enjoy! :rose:

*Tosses a mountain of confetti in Keroin's general direction*

All went well. Results are clear. Yes, be stress free! Cheers - K

Thanks! I love a good sipping tequila, so nice and toasty warm.

Thanks CM!

My internal clock is almost normal and I'm nearly recovered from the reverse culture shock. Watching the TV news was weird. The calculating/manipulative manner of news delivery always creeps me out for some reason.

Oh but the bubble baths were liquid heaven!

(I had a giggling fit in the grocery store).
