Anyone for a nightcap?

Well, I didn't drink anything alcoholic last night, but I could use a tot of whiskey this morning. What the hell, pass me the whole freaking bottle.

Getting drunk and losing the car is a classic move for the friend I'm thinking of.

Gawd, I spent the entire night saying, THIS IS WHY I DON'T WANT TO DATE.

*shrug* Women are often times more interested in me after I've mentioned that I'm married.

I hear this frequently, but I have the opposite reaction. Noooo interest in drama, thankyouverymuch.

A tot of whiskey? How cute! Except it sounds like your morning has been anything but.

I'm drinking coffee - black.

I just have fun messing with him. Every last one of his friends has some story where they had to rescue him from some BFE place where he got lost, bail him out of jail, bring a spare set of car keys to him, or, like in my case, give him directions on how to get him back home when he got lost leaving work. He's a bright guy, but just as scatterbrained as anyone I've ever met.

I don't pretend to understand it. I do enjoy the reaction though.

I couldn't mix caffeine and alcohol, fwiw. My brain does not know which way to go.

I had a friend whose father would have an Irish coffee before getting on the commuter train to NYC every morning. I don't mind an Irish coffee once in a while (though for me it's always made with decaf), but it's definitely an evening drink for me.

Wow, that's hardcore. I rarely, if ever, have alcohol during the day. I had a cider yesterday during lunch since we were at a pub, and I don't like beer. I immediately wanted to take a nap. Of course, it could have had something to do with being up until after 2 the night before.

Coffee in the morning is usually creme and sugar..

but..when my family gets together to play cards.. we put on a large pot of coffee.. dark roast.. and buy a large bottle of bailey's and we have it all night.

To each their own.. but I love the sweetness of it, the mellow hint of creme that melts into the deep, dark, rich flavor of the coffee..

it's like wonderful sex..

I'm such a hardcore the-only-thing-I-mix-with-my-liquor-is-air kind of guy that I've never even tried any of the ciders that are available. Are they tasty in a sippable way?

My favorite cider is woodchuck cider. It's not a "blend" of anything.. it's just fermented cider.. and it's crisp and clean and tart

They generally are too bubbly or something to me. I rarely drink them. In a pinch, I've drank lambic framboise beer. It's quite tasty.

Tonight I'm sipping a barbera and watching Project Runway from the other night. :)

Watching the Iowa caucus results online here, sipping the last of the cabernet sauvignon that went into the boeuf bourgignonne tonight.

And you reminded me that I have a couple bottles of cranberry lambic in the basement fridge.

Oh, how could I forget! I'm checking the caucus results online, and will be watching them on tv soon.

I'm glad Hillary didn't win, because I don't think she was ready to be the nominee. Democats need to have this conversation.

I'm facinated to see what happens with the Republicans too. Mike Huckabee is really so damn likeable. I'm not so sure he's that easily counted out. I really see Romney fading fast. I don't know - I could very well be wrong, but he seems to completely lack conviction. I'd take Fred Thompson over Romney, because at least he sounds sure of himself.

Huckabee should scare you.

Now I'm imagining you backlit and ominous looking, like some vigilante do-gooder warning me, Joe Citizen, against the dangers of corrupt politicians.

ITW Says, "I am Bat-ITW."

Doesn't quite ring well.

"Friendly neighbourhood ITW"

Almost. I'll have to think on this...

Um. Well, candlelight is flattering! :D

I'm Fair and Balanced ITW - just like it says under my avatar. Anyway, I don't think he's corrupt, per se. He just believes his political beliefs are divinely inspired.
