Anyone for a nightcap?

It's nice to see you again, Minx. How are you? How is life Down Under?

It's funny you mention Shiraz -- I was served sparkling Australian Shiraz a few days ago. I prefer a very dry Champagne or Prosecco in the sparkling wine group, but as an occasional alternative it was interesting. Is it served often there?

I am very well thankyou JM. Loving being here and getting to spend time with my Master. Real time and the change in culture/lifestyle has taken some adapting to, but I think I am getting there. At least I hope I am. :)

They have some extremely good sparkling wines here *nods* though I am with you on the prosecco front, infact I was trying to get some the other day in the bottleshop, but they didn't have any :(

I hope you had a good xmas JM

Y'know, I don't even know what some of those items of clothing were that you mentioned. I'm am lingerie-ignorant.

Further proof that the post at issue was not wank material.

Slip you know, yes?

Merry widow is like a corset in shape, but hooks in the back like a bra, and has garters. Funny, I saw on the original Warners tag that "merry widow" is a registered trademark. Or was, I mean. I wonder if it's still registered. I'll have to check on that.

What else was there? I'm here to help.

It would be wank material for one who actually has that sort of fetish =P

I honestly don't recall. Merry Widow was the only piece that I can definitely recall as being too arcane for my knowledge. Frankly, lingerie is generally a waste of time, barring certain types of scenes. I like thigh high stockings on a woman, but that is generally as far as I go for frilly bits.

I love lingerie - the pinup look anyway. Not so much into crochless panties and that sort of thing. If they take away my kinky membership card tomorrow, I will still come for the parties just to be able to wear my vintage stuff.

I don't think I need my man to have specific lingerie preferences, but I do appreciate a "you look hot, baby" when it's on. I spent a lot of time in my life being ignored by boys and I admit I'm perpetually attention starved. Although frankly, a rock hard cock in response will do just fine.

Atention starved? You?!?

While I don't generally care either way about lingerie, I do appreciate effort. If someone takes the time to look dandy, I'm going to comment.

Hmm I  corsets!!

I wore a slip with heels. All did not go according to plan! I finally decided to just go with the slip and the little kitten slippers, but when I got to Mister Man's, I looked at myself in the full length mirror and determined that my shoes looked basically like fuzzy slippers with heels. Not quite the pinup look I was hoping for. Luckily I had a pair of heels at his place. Funny, quite a few people noted that the lace detail on the shoes matched the slip! What luck.

As for the party itself, Mister Man was pleasantly surprised by how nice everyone was. There were only a couple of guys who rubbed him the wrong way. One guy who always drinks and acts crazy. Mister Man didn't like him, but didn't lose his cool either. As for the other guy, he and I had played before, and at one point he asked, which [ITW first name] are you? He was alluding to the fact that there are several in the scene, but the tone was a little...weird. Anyway, which [ITW first name] are you, again? And Mister Man goes, Mine.

Oh, and of course, a few men, like the above-mentioned guy and my longstanding crush, paid more attention to me than they usually do. Men.

Beyond that, Mister Man found some of the play interesting, but mostly felt like public play is not his thing and never will be.

I'm really not sure how I feel about that. I think I don't know for sure what I get out of these parties, so I'm scratching my head. I suppose really it's that giddy girl inside of me reveling in attention, wanting to kiss everyone. I also really like the conference-type events, and hearing different speakers. We'll see how the one coming up in a few months goes.

Just thinking about it all...

*sigh* Lovely. I like.

Good stuff =)

You had a man with you. This makes you more interesting. Same thing happens when I guy shows up with a woman after not being with one. He suddenly becomes more interesting. By showing up with a partner, you show that there's something there good enough to attract a potential mate. You value goes up. Plain and simple.

So would you call it a good event? Was it fun overall?

Last night was great. No champagne, no sparkling bubbles... however... I spent the night nursing a tall glass of the best whiskey I've ever had....

Glenfiddich Single Malt Whiskey, aged 15 years....

/soft sigh

I had no alcohol last night. *gasp* Yeah, I know.

Charlie don't surf, and Homburg don't drink.

Ahhh....a woman after my own heart. I started the evening with a good long sip of the Macallan (12 years). Your Glenfiddich sounds delicious.

I know - the thing with my crush just drives me crazy. We had this incredibly hot thing once - he took my kinky cherry at a party. The sexual energy was just unreal. It was so natural. He told me to get on my knees, and I just did. No question. He was a big tease after that, and besides, I had way too much to deal with in my life, but...it does sort of confound me that he's just not that into me.

What is it about me that makes him not want to pursue me? His usual routine is to pretend like he doesn't remember any detail about me - where do you live again, etc. - funny, I hadn't mentioned Mister Man to him in months, and he asked me, is this the guy you met off of collarme? How's that going?

Oh well. He wouldn't be a good choice for me anyway. Too much of a crazy party type.

So would you call it a good event? Was it fun overall?

Well, it went well, in that none of the things I was worried about happening happened. I didn't drink too much and behave like an ass. He didn't slug anyone for touching me. No one really touched me. All of that was good. People were so nice and welcoming to him, and that was great. I had a good time talking to people, and watching. I had a fabulous kiss at midnight. It was really truly magical.

But I admit I still wanted to make out with a few boys. Again, this is that whole ugly duckling to swan thing. I love that feeling that I could just give a man a certain look, and he's putty in my hands. I love flirting. I love having power over men! And then I love Mister Man setting me straight, focusing that energy.

I think the best way to describe the evening is thought-provoking! Mister Man and I have been talking about it non-stop since leaving.

*shrug* Just sounds like a gameplayer. I've d-, er, seen that sort of thing before. Why would he want you to keep when he can have you in the situations and interactions where he apparently wants you? I know I can have a really hot time with a play partner and not want to keep her. He's probably just a player. Nothing more.

Oh well. He wouldn't be a good choice for me anyway. Too much of a crazy party type.

I'm not sure whether to pick on you for making a sour grapes statement, or applaud you for being wise enough to realise that player crush boy is probably a train wreck waiting to happen.

It sounds like a good time, and that it was a good thing for you and Mister Man. Glad to hear it, ITW. Good on ya!

Applaud me! Applaud me! No seriously, I have been aware all along that crush boy would not be a good choice. On one of the first nights I hung out with him, along with others, he got so drunk he couldn't remember where he parked his car. I can't be with someone like that. I'm the only one who can be scatterbrained in the relationship. There isn't room for two! I guess a small part of me fantasized that he'd pull his shit together and say, I'm ready to be a grown up now, and I want to do it with you.

But of course, would I even want that? Probably not. So yeah, just a fantasy, but for some reason, a powerful one.

Crush boy sounds more and more like a Domly version of my buddy Ken every time you describe him =P

And it is probably a powerful fantasy because it is essentially unnattainable.

*appaluds ITW*

Good girl.

Really? Too funny.

Don't I know it. What is it about unattainable men? I just love a challenge, I guess.

*appaluds ITW*

Good girl.

Thank you, thank you. Though I dabbled in ohhhhhwhycan'tIhavehim-ness quite a few times, I actually did kind of enjoy the deliciousness of the crush, knowing that it just wasn't going to happen and I would be just fine. I just let it be. That sexual tension between us...the flirting...the little teaspons of attention he doled out to me. It was fun in an emotinally masochistic kind of way!

Anyway, am off to bed tonight. I had a bit more of the chianti tonight. Now I'm just drinking water.

Really? Too funny.

Getting drunk and losing the car is a classic move for the friend I'm thinking of.

Don't I know it. What is it about unattainable men? I just love a challenge, I guess.

*shrug* Women are often times more interested in me after I've mentioned that I'm married.

*shakes head* Can't say that I really grok this, but I guess I can see it.
