Anyone for a nightcap?

Yes, in SoCal we have Liquorama, Liquor Barn, Liquor Loft, well, you get the picture.

Liquorama did not carry the Bonterra! :(

So, i stopped at Trader Joes. Nothin'. Nada.

i got a Mountain River Pinotage/Shiraz mix, instead. I decanted it about 10 minutes ago, 'cause i'm all sophistimicated.

:D

That's a shame. I can usually find two or three different Bonterras at my Trader Joe's.

Tonight: another fine zin, this time from Louis Martin.

There is no off switch for my brain. I used to have difficulty hitting the big O on occasion because I would get really close and start thinking, hey, wonder if I put that pan away, should I reorganize my closet, is the U.S. really ready for an african american president?

I hope this isn't out of context since I've just been reading posts on this thread in random order - ITW, were we separated at birth?!!!

I thought it was just me.....

Ha - I think this happens to a lot of women actually.

It's possible I'm only a submissive because it takes a Dominant to hold my attention.

LOL...but I'm not a sub so I think it must be something else!

(although it really only happens when I'm bottoming; OTH I only bottom after drinking)

I think I just gave myself a little self-therapy. Hadn't thought about it before I came upon this thread.

Oh, and my local Safeway (as well as Trader Joe's) carries Bonterra. And I only use port when I make soup.

See...I'm making my way through this thread slowly....be prepared for random musings from me....I am having my nightcap right now, after all. Mirassou Chardonnay for me.

Someone very special to me loves Chardonnay...no particular brand... What is a really nice one/good brand that i could surprise them with the next time i see them?

Oh! Gah, I'm so used to girly subs around here, I guess. Well, if you're Topping, you have whatever you're doing to keep you focused, right? It's the same reason I prefer yoga to meditation. My mind is forced to concentrate on aligning my body in a certain way. It helps quiet things up there.

Are those bouganvillas in your AV? Wow, that takes me back! I used to have them in my backyard growing up.

This whole thread is pretty much random musings - don't worry!

I think thats why I end up as a bottom if I've had more than one drink. I have my girly moments.... .

But then, I also prefer yoga to straight meditation - but yoga is meditation for me.

And yes...those are bouganvilla in my av. While I have them in my yard, that is not my photograph. If I had taken the picture, there would have been a thumb in front of the plant.

Do you have a price range? I have lots of suggestions but I think price will narrow it down to something more manageable.

Yoga is meditation for me too. I just started again, and I'm so happy.

Oh dear! :rose:
I know I've said that before.... I'm just not always so good on the follow-through.

Ha - I thought "oh dear" too. Maybe we WERE separated at birth? ;)

Grgich Hills & Stag's Leap - great whites.

Under $30 a bottle...

If you're willing to spend $5-6 more, I would recommend Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay. I look forward to hearing other's thoughts.

Also, if you have a Cost Plus (aka World Market), their wine sections are awesome and the department staff incredibly knowledgeable. I've said to them: "I love Cakebread Chard, but I only have $10" (well, I wasn't that pitiful, but you get my drift), and they have come up with amazing selections that were similar in taste but fit within my price range.

I was also going to suggest Cakebread Cellars.

Ugh..two more i can't get in fucking Kansas.........

Any other suggestions???

Does "fucking Kansas" have wine rules I don't know about? Will wineries or on-line merchants ship wine to Kansas?

(I mean, I used to live in the deep, deep south....I thought I knew all the alcohol rules. :D )
