Anyone for a nightcap?

OK, at least fix my spelling...please! It's killing me! lol

Absolut Citron, a pinch of Chambord, a drizzle of sour mix, muddled with crushed ice, all in a sugar-rimmed glass...heaven! ;)

Sorry, friend, but this sounds ghastly to me. But then, I never mix much with my booze besides the air that rides on top.

My usual... a little bit of the loon. Just a sip or two actually as I need to be able to safely drive to the grocery store for dinner provisions. Even if I only have enough energy to make a peanut butter sandwich.

104 degrees today. I should actually be drinking an ice cold beer out of a frosted mug. Except that I have no frosted mugs. And I have no beer either.

Awww....Nuts!

*passes over the frostiest mug with the best beer I have...Hmmm... Sam Summer?* :rose:

Wouldn't water be a better solution? Well, aside from the fact that pure water can't, by definition, be a solution. ;)

So much passed by!

I'm not much into mixed drinks...but monotony is a killer! I vary once in awhile from the selected grape...

Careful, other people depend on that head for a lot of pleasure.[/QUOTE]

Guess I'll have to take your word on that, MWY...anybody for a poll?

Chenin Blanc; first day in a week I've managed to keep the Ibuprofen count under 10.

10?! Oh you poor dear! Hope that pain scrams soon.

I got a little too frisky with the Don last night. I'll be sticking to...the forbidden drink (water)...this evening. But who can resist a good tequila? Quien?

Hey! Thrilled everything's "a-okay"!

Thank you, thank you! As long as its not Bud Light. Some people around here get kind of testy with me when I admit to drinking it.

I think I have already imbibed 2 gallons of water today. I like a little variety in my quaffs, TYVM.

I am up to 8 today. I hope this isn't a "you go down, I go up" twilight zone thing.

Welcome back Ms K! Happy to hear that all went well!

I am now eating a little Chinese food since I decided it was better for someone else to cook tonight. And as today was a day filled with unplanned adventures, I am going to have another glass of wine before closing down for the night. Unless gypsy*seer's beer arrives in the next few minutes. :D

Cheers and thanks! I'm glad to be back and well.

Wish I'd had more time in Hobbit land but I did bring back a large suitcase crammed full of treats. No Chinese food though, man you're making me jealous LB!!

Spicy ginger beef...YUM. Ah, the memories.

Guess what? I just found out that one of our two grocery stores is going bankrupt. File this under, "Just when you thought things couldn't get worse..." LOL.

Added: And what's with MWY's latest av? He's messing with us, isn't he?

I thought it was an odd one until I read his new location. Then it all fell into place. More or less.

And you will be happy to know that my Chinese food tonight was made with mangoes. I thought of you while I ate. :)

Shit. I'm way too brain dead to weigh in on the abortion thread. I feel like somewhere in my brain sits something interesting but it's buried in the rubble of MUSTSLEEPNOWFUCKMEIT'SLATE!

Decaf coffee out at my "branch office." I like the place because the wi-fi is free, they let me visit Lit, and they refill my coffee for free.

This sounds a helluva lot more interesting than my turkey brats and Sam Adams White Ale.

Have you ever eaten at Bryant Lake Bowling Alley?

Yes. It's very good. Breakfast is beautiful, beer list is great.

The people who run that are responsible for two other outfits that I like, too. One is called Barbette, it's a brasserie/wine bar with some really nice food and a low-lit eclectic look.

The other is really wonderful too, it's called the Red Stag supper club. It's a steakhouse on skin level - but the steaks and the food are mainly sustainable and local. They have sustainable and local all over all the menus actually - but the Red Stag is LEED certified - the building itself is sustainable and green to a very exacting standard - the water usage is cut in a third of what restaurants usually use. The buildout of that restaurant is really fascinating.

The grass fed is to die for, too.

I've had quite a few.

Random question - has anyone seen film of Peter, Paul and Mary performing? Mary was, like, sexy when she sang.
