Hope your friend is okay, that sounds quite serious(?).

So how hot is it there today? It's a pleasant 20C in the office, although probably more for me as I'm sat next to the heater But the good news is that my boss in away on hols and his little toerag of a dog is nowhere to be seen! I might even get the chance to do some writing this morning!

Yeah he should be ok. His mum will look after him well - but knowing him he will do something dumb.
So does this mean with your boss away on hols - there is going to be little work done in your office???

Oh and we had the best thunderstorm last night. Thunder and lightening till 5 this morning. We had over an inch of rain as well.

Hey, I've just discovered a new game...it's called "Hunt the vitally important piece of paperwork that you probably should have filed properly when you had it, rather than leave it lying around the office until it went missing" !

It's not a very good game, but I appear to be playing it

Well one strategy I think I can forget about for my new game is the "keep looking through the same piles of papers in the hope that it'll be there this time, unlike the previous 4 times!"

Yep, the search is continuing. Wouldn't be suprised if my boss misfiled it, he has a habit of doing that. It'll probably turn up in about six months time, I expect.
