I need to know how to get an address from an unlisted phone number. At this point legality is NOT an issue.

I am trying to find my runaway stepdaughter. She disappeared Monday morning with her girlfriend and hasn't been seen since. However, I just found out that she called someone yesterday who had caller ID. I have the number of where the call originated, but it is unlisted. I tried 411 and looked in the online white pages but no luck.

The Sheriff's department is involved but the Missing Persons detective is not available until 9AM tomorrow. If I have an address the night shift deputies are willing to go and check it out tonight. Anybody have a solution for me?

Well depending on the situation...

you could call and pretend you have to deliver something and need directions.

But, on the other hand, if your step daughter is suspicious, it might scare her away.

The police usually can track addresses to number, I have had them do so in runaway situations.

Or...would a yahoo search yield results? Ya never know.

sd412: switchboard had nothing. Thanks for the link.

MissTaken: I plan on doing the delivery guy routine or something like it. I 'm just waiting for an hour of the evening when a parent is likely to be around. I'm also going to call from a payphone so my number doesn't show up on their end. Thanks for your input.

Thanks also to those who have PM'd me privately. Every little bit of support helps.

I wouldn't think it would be available online if it isn't listed in the phone books..

but I could be wrong.

Good Luck BigDog.. my prayers are with you and your family

I don't really know how to trace a number, but I'm sorry about your step daughter. You're in my thoughts.:heart:

again, no idea if unlisted can be found or not..

Nope, doesn't work on unlisted, but it did have all the different reverse lookup sites on one page. I tried them all just because I was there, no luck. Thanks for the link.

lilminx: no luck, but thanks for the link

If you were in the State of Washington I could have that address for you in about 2 minutes..

You don't happen to know anyone who works for 911 emergancy services do you?

Pheonyx: InfoSpace is one of the six sites listed on reversephonedirectory.com. Thanks for the link anyway.

freakygurl32: I don't know anybody who works in any law enforcement capacity. Gotta get more friends.

Thanks to Mona and everyone else for your well-wishes.

<begin rant>
Why does a county with 1.2 million people only have TWO missing persons detectives that only work 8am to 4pm? What the fuck are they doing with my taxes anyway? :mad:
<end rant>
