With such a diverse ,widespread and openminded group,I have to wonder if others out there have had unusual and unexplained experiences with houses or other locations.
While my own was not really scary..........well either is the miniseries
It was 1974 and five of us drove about an hour north of Pittsburgh,Pa to a house auction. It was a victorian mansion supposedly designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wrights father and was about to be torn down to make way for a (shudder) fast food restaurant.
While we couldn't afford anything there,we spent hours wandering through the house admiring the craftsmanship and architectural details .like the 10 foot etched glass entrance doors, stained glass, woodwork, engraved brass door hinges. Finally we ended up on the top floor where the ceiling was all angles right up under the roof.I was the last of the five to reach that floor and the others were standing outside the entrance to the room that was the top of the octagonal tower at the corner of the house.
My friends told me to check out the room so i walked in.It was small and unremarkable and I wondered why they wanted me to check it out untill I stepped back into the other room.I then realized that my heart was pounding at about double normal speed,my breathing was shallow and rapid, and my hands were cold and clammy. It seems I was the third of the five to experience this.the others felt nothing.Several times we walked in and out of that room, and each time our bodies had the same reactions.
We hung out by that room as other people came by.It seemed that a little less than half the people who went in that room had the same reaction. No one was there who knew the history of the house, and we never got any sort of explanation. So was this a ghost or spirit ??
we never found out.Does anyone else have any ideas or other experiences to share ??
