It's pretty correct to pick Obama as the winner...

The Liberals have no choice which is why Hillary is now the newly self-appointed "Progressive" candidate...

Just what the hell does "Progressive" mean? It's okay NOT to vote for the ultimate affirmative-action candidate?

I agree with Lewis Black: it's time for a dead president.

I'm writing in James K. Polk.

We are marching to Pretendia...

We'll all pretend we'd vote for Obama and then at the last minute, her majesty will provide us with cover.

Didn't watch the debates. I did watch the recap with the democratic voter study group. That was interesting.

Obama was the clear winner according to the group. But they seemed to all pick him based on charisma, not substance. When the discussion turned to substance, Biden got the nod.

All in all it doesn't seem to bode well for the queen. If she gets the nomination she's almost forced to go with Obama as #2 or lose a lot of support at the polls.

The big question is whether Obama, if he gets the nomination, can put together a machine that would match the queens in effectiveness, and whether he can survive a series of debates with a serious Rep, challenger where the counter-punches won't be held back and specifics on the issues will become more important?

Clinton Inc.

They have the nuclear bomb in lock-down mode but are holding it waiting for the self-inflicted wound. Mrs. Clinton's thinking is two-fold, I increase the number of women who wouldn't other-wise vote and Bill increases the votes from the number of women who would have voted (red-neck translation: I don't need Obama, I don't want Obama, and the next fucking vice-president is going to be a nobody who can bring me a Red state and he'd better be able to find office space over in the Senate building...) and that is why I will be the next president and no MAN is going to get in my way.

Sorry about the rambling.

;) ;)

And then there's the real world. I don't disagree with you as far as her goals are concerned. But in the end, should she be nominated, she's going to want to win and the Clintons are political realists.

The office of VP is as powerful, or weak, as the president wants it to be. Obama is a powerful tool on the stump. If you keep him out of DC and chatting up the electorate he really doesn't need an office at all. :) He'd only have to be in DC for squeaker votes in the senate and a suite at the Marriot will do just fine on those rare occasions.
