Any Canadians around? part 2

Internet

Shopping online is the way to go.
I ordered a portable translator for myself. Hasn't arrived yet but really looking forward to getting it. :)
For others I order theater tickets, opera tickets, concert, comedy show tickets.
Once I got a cooking lesson for someone. It was about deboning poultry, fish, leg of lamb. They use that skill frequently.
I saw a book on making sauces and got it. Very interesting. Meals should be quite tasty! I know I'm getting a food saver as a gift. That should be great. Also a nuwave oven. Apparently I can cook frozen meat with it. I think people enjoy my cooking
LOL
Oh well. Hopefully I get a gift certificate for a hot stone massage. Yummy. :cattail:

Anyone else got flooded with the freezing rain?...clean up time ....but breakfast first.

Yikes...ccccold there Papa
I thought we might escape it but the temp. dipped down below freezing.. Still it could have been worse, no pipes burst.:)

I haven't heard any sirens.
It must be okay to drive.
Most accidents happen on the first day it snows.

We are lucky here :) just rain and no ice.
checked basement and still dry :)
Guess I can slip back into bed

We lost power here too, it's back on thank God. The shop vac is running already.

Thanks Dave. Everything is good, truly it could have been a lot worse.:)

I told hubby to look on the bright side, this could have been Christmas day. With a house full of family and a turkey to cook. We will hve everything back ship shape by than as long as the freezing rain holds off.

Have to look on the bright side :)
Like the daylight starts to get longer from this point on :)

Put the dogs out this morning and the little puggle slid down the driveway looking like Bambi...only more pissed off.

My laughing probably didn't help. :D

I love how dogs are so tentative to go out in the bad weather. They are covered in a fur coat and look back at you as if saying ..."are you serious?"
