Another Democrat Draft Dodger!

Hey, the Yankess drafted me and never called me!

The NFL draft is way better.

At least the Patriots called to openly laugh at me...

He's got more problems than that. Isn't he tied up in the Wen Ho Lee case as well?

Ishmael

Yeah but he's a Democrat and Democrats aren't perfect. He gets a pass.

It's the Republicans that are such aggregious hypocrits!

Like the way Bush dodged the draft!

I wonder how Bill got out of it? Hell, I don't blame him. We were happy as hell to see Charlie drag up stakes and go West...

Big bucks civil case. Wen isn't going away. And interestingly enough the cast of media characters tied up in that case are remarkably similar to the cast in the Plame case. Go figure.

Ishmael

This trial will be the anti-OJ trial.

News coverage will equal that of Able-Danger.

The press will simply not eat its own until they look weak enough to lose to a Republican...

It will be covered when Pinkus et al start spending time in jail for contempt. They'll start screaming bloody murder then.

So you're saying the numbers are beginning to tighten in the Governor's race?

;) ;)

Don't know. I haven't been following that race as closely as I probably should. NM politics is strange to say the least.

Let's just see how much a padded resume matters to the Democrat Party, the party that was SO very concerned about Bush's resume.

After all, Bill's running for Preisdent on the Triangulation Ticket.

Shooting for number two at worst if Hillary survives her stance on the war in the Democrat Primaries.

The baseball thing may not hurt him all that much. Hard to say. The Lee case can absolutely kill him. He would be facing criminal prosecution if Lee can tie the threads together.

Ishmael

He has better lawyers than the government from what I've read of the first trial...

IMHO, Richardson is Teflon where the press is concerned because they've found that despite Kerry's thoughts on the matter, they do need some of the South, and he's the Southern Govenor De Jour, even talking tough on border issues to prove Democrats are the party of law and order and anti-illegal imigration.

Sure he is as far as the media is concerned. But as far as Lee's legal eagles and the courts he isn't being cut any slack at all. If he's convicted, or even indicted, his career is over.

Didn't Trafficant run from jail?

:D :D :D

He's a Democrat! That just gets him more in touch with the day-to-day problems of his core constituency...

I really liked ole Jimmy. He was a 'Scoop' Jackson style democrat. One of the few that were left. He used his 'two minute' speeches to burn both parties. I think the Demo leadership worked to get rid of him.

At least he has no defenders.

It seems to vary inversly with the proportion set on impeaching Bush...

They're expending a tremendous amount of energy and funds to manufacture that end. I can't see any winning strategy in that effort. Just weakens the party in other areas.

Well, yeah. Now that an official investigation has begun. Everyone's gone 'deaf, dumb, and blind.' Between Plame and Lee the press is learning a lesson it seems.

But Cindy's back at the ranch during the congressional break in an attempt to regain lost glory. Now that Hillary's kicked her to the curb it'll be interesting to see how enthusiastic the press coverage is.

Ishmael

Bah, Richardson is small potatoes.

I thought you'd be giving Murtha the full swift-boat treatment by now, Dances-with-falsehoods.

No time, no time to investigate CIA torture.

Bush has to remake the war effort, only 11 months left to make Iraq popular or make his party the Minority in the House. (the real reason the house is debating anti-war resolutions)

Yup, Ole Dubya looked that camera straight in the eye all squinty-like and said "America doesn't do torture". :nana:

You can fool some of the people (and AJ) all of the time...

He doesn't have to make it popular, just over.

And the economy is roaring along, so you have to demoralize America and its troops to prevail because the Iraqi Government is going to stick it out and they're winning.

;) ;)
