I called the Rugby World Cup final result before the tournament started last year (New Zealand over France or Ireland in the final [it was New Zealand over France). I was called an idiot who knew nothing about rugby at the time.

I called the Kings in six before the Kings-Devils series. I was right as usual.

Anyone who called you an idiot for predicting the All Blacks would win in NZ sure as hell doesn't know anything about rugby themselves. Moreover, they (the All Blacks) WERE bookie favorites with Australia and South Africa also in the mix but below the Kiwis.
