I have followed this thread since it has began. I liked it and followed it regularly. Now like a few other threads here it has lost its appeal. I don't care who is fat or who likes cake or for that matter who is a nurse. What really gets me is when it is the same people who give their opinions over and over again. Whether it is in this thread or in the Tell Them What You Think thread. If you want a thread to talk with your friends make it. I have to agree with male response to this thread. Some of you have taken this site and ruined it for some. Your right I don't have to read your comments but when you look for what the thread is intended you can't find it for all the posts that don't warrant reading in my opinion.

I wanted to chime in also to the never ending stupidity of cake whatever. I haven't put anyone on ignore, because I know how to skim past posts. Although when they now take up entire pages of it, I just shake my head. It's so Jr. High. Now you attack Busting Out on his Av, because he was the only one honest enough to come forth and put his name out there. I don't know him, nor anyone that continues posting with such silly topics, but you affirm why I have no interest in changing that.

I agree, I used to come to this thread to read the secrets. It used to be, IN MY OPINION, one of the most intriguing threads on the forum. However, when I have to scroll down to the next page because a certain few have taken it over to discuss cake, being fat (or not), and the reasons why nurses bitch and complain, it looses its appeal and becomes BORING.

I rarely post on Lit anymore because of that very reason. It's a rarity now to find a thread (at least on the PG) that sticks to the purpose of the thread and I don't really care about the off-topic conversations that some insert. That's better done via PM.

Overall, Lit has become a pretty boring place, one that I only visit as a means to keep in touch with certain people via pm. That really is a shame.

I am inclined to agree, without wanting to offend or blame anyone I do feel we have swayed off topic a lot recently. Meaning the secret to reply ratio has changed.

Is this bad, some say yes, some say no.

I do fear that some secrets get snowed under by this though.
At this moment, I am unsure of what to do.

Kudram. I don't think there is much to be done. You can ask that posters stay on topic but I don't think that would be very successful. There are thread drifts, hijackings, & shenanigans...it is all part of conversation.

Those that only wish to read the secrets can use the search function within the thread using your name but that would leave out posters posting their own secrets.

Vanity threads are made for a reason.. If you want to be silly and bullshit with your friends do it in your vanity thread.. The secrets thread has always been an awesome taboo thread where we could all share that deep seeded naughty or snarkyness that we couldn't. I mean don't get me wrong yes it is a free country and yes it's a free posting website and yes you can post what you like where like about what you want as long as within forum rules but it has changed the dynamics of some of the threads we all have known and come to love and the purposes of the thread. So sorry to those having fun I get it I have hijacked many a thread in my day but normally it's been one of those threads that it was like WTF is the purpose here and we had fun doing it. I don't know that's my 1.125 cents after taxes.

I figured if any thread disappears off the front page, it won't be noticed. I also figured that any conversation is better than dead air or "bump". I apologize for the thread drift.

The way I see it, if you want to see secrets, send them to Kudram. If he doesn't have any to post, and if there's no conversation, the thread will die a natural death anyway. I've sent a few to him, and they've been posted here.
