And now for something completely different: food!

When you are "scening" (in real life at least), do you often feel the need to stop for food/drink? If so, do you plan what you will do in advance, or do you just go with spur of the moment?

For example, at out last session, my lover brought a long a tray of cheeses, crackers, french bread, grapes, strawberries, mellon, grape juice (she can't drink alcohol at the moment, and the bottle had another purpose!)

On another occasion, we have taken a slut out for dinner at a cafe, with her squirming in her seat opposite us... which is also a great deal of fun.

So what do other people do?

I am the opposite, in that I don't feel the urge to eat. Now this can backfire, as I am hypoglycemic and anyone who spends time with me will know that.

So, I generally do plan something to eat for the Dominant. Soemthing that doesn't require a lot of preparation. A homemade soup, cheese and crackers adn fruit or whatever his tastes may be.

But then, as I am hypoglycemic, food can be an important part of a scene and yes, for medicinal purposes!

;)

No food is never on My mind during or after sceneing.
But sceneing can be on My mind during a meal.

Very true, Shadowsdream.

I think my propensity for fixing a meal or snack has to do with my June Cleaver approach to BDSM. It is part of how I prepare to meet and even if it goes untouched, I enjoy having done it.

Well June Cleaver that is a very nice approach and always well received!

Food never enters My mind.
I do make sure that My pet drinks water once W/we are through. Sharing a glass of water is part of O/our aftercare. I think it's a good reminder of O/our bond.

Food hasn't been a part of our play either, which is somewhat regrettable. Our scenes have never been too terribly time-consuming, and are usually not so much of the "fun" as they are of the "degrading, thrilling, brutal." So food usually waits til he's through with me. However, upon reflection, sometimes he decides he's through with me because he's hungry, so maybe having some munchies on hand would prolong the magic, so to speak.

Water is necessary, though...or else he makes it so. Neither of us want me to dehydrate, and he loves making me drink more than I want to, and then watch me squirm until I can't keep from asking permission to pee. And then watch me squirm more when he asks if I will do it for him. With all that squirming, it's easy to dehydrate.

I'm definitely going to call this idea to his attention, however. Thanks, FungiUg!

June Cleaver? That is scary MissT.

I have used food during sex as well (scenes for me are always sexual, just a clarification), although that's not what I meant when I asked the question.

So does no one else stop, take a break, relax, share some humour, and then pick up again and start all over? My scenes generally last a minimum of three hours...

Kinda Sorta..

When we're having a long scene, there usually is a munchy break somewhere in there. It's usually something already prepared, high in protein and and sugar. ( I know, complex carbs would be better than straight sugar stuff, but we're talking about a quick snack and immediate energy.)

Sometimes when we're lucky enough to get a day off together, and we're planning on playing pretty much all day, I'll usually have a meal all set up and ready to go, with minimal effort required. Like having stir fry. I'll build the rice and prep the stuff the night before; takes all of about 10 minutes to wok it all up.

The problem I have is when whe are doing an all day sort of thing or a long thing, its very hard for me to get back into scene space if we take too long of a break. I mean, if we break for too long, we have to go back to the beginning so to speak. I'm still in sub space, but not very. It's like the longer we break the further back we go,

Okay, fill me in... who is June Cleaver?

I believe she is from 'Leave it to Beaver' (she's the mom in the family)... older American TV show which highlights the 50's white picket fence family life... with the lovable little rascal (the youngest son), beaver cleaver. Sounds vaguely naughty on this board, but I assure you it was a very wholesome family show with outstanding morals. ;)

It does indeed sound very naughty... although I'm afraid it leaves me none the wiser.

We do get a lot of US television shows, but I'm not an avid TV watcher (other than CSI.)

Yeah, the show is long gone, except for perhaps in syndication... June Cleaver is more of a cultural and historical reference at this point in the American psyche.

Ah, I don't have one of those... I have a Kiwi psyche. Oh well, I'll just have to be content with that reference going well over my head.

Perfect mom and wife
Domestic

So MissT's reference to the June Cleaver style of BDSM would be sort of like... "let me bake you some cookies and put on the dinner while you spank my butt and fuck me from behind"?

Exactly!

*blushing*

Could be worse, I guess. The McD's style of submissive would be "...and would you like fries with that?"

(Er, not to imply that you're bad, MissT... neve never never would I imply that! ;) )

as a sub can i demand

Food? !!

If I was ever to agree to a list of rules, body fuel would definitely be a must. I was recently diagnosed as "sort of hypoglycemic" so keeping the blood sugar level up is important and something that I will make sure to tell Sir. Without blood sugar (and oxygen ... refering to the other asphixiation thread), my brain just doesn't work as well. This isn't a fun sensation, totally scary and deadly.

Besides, in the past vanilla life, sauteing mushrooms always made me swoon. Smells just like sex to me.

I hate to cook so this could be something I'd learn to do with pleasure for someone special. But only if i absolutely had to!

i try to have something ready that will keep and still be eatable. Home baked bread with homemade dipping oil is a great snack and the oil can be used for more than just dipping the bread! Also a few special treats-Godiva chocolates-fresh strawberries-even homemade chocolate chip cookies. Sometimes its spur of the moment-whatever the refrig yields to feed the famished.
