If the purchasing of enema equipment and/or using them embarrass you, try this first:

Try to have a bowel movement earlier in the day when you know you want to have/try anal sex. Then go take a long bath or shower. Pay extra close attention to getting your whole anal area clean.

I guess I've been lucky. I've been enjoying anal sex since I was 21 (and I have better, stronger orgasms through anal than I do vaginal sex) and have never had this problem before.
