Yeah … we all think we know how blacks in America feel on the issues, don’t we. We think we know because we listen to the Jesse Jacksons, Al Sharptons, Maxine Waters and Cynthia McKinneys of this world and think we’ve tapped into the average black mind.

Think again, honkey! Pay a little visit to the NAACP website. They dedicate a page to results of various NAACP polls, and comments about the poll questions. Take some time to read and you will find that :

A huge majority of blacks don’t think that Social Security will be around for them when they retire.

An even larger majority of blacks (76%) don’t think that Al Sharpton would be an effective president of the United States.

A majority of blacks would not participate in a boycott of network TV because of a lack of “diversity.”

By a landslide, blacks do not want black police officers to pressure Bush to back anti-racial profiling legislation.

A majority of blacks do not think that America has any moral obligation to pay reparations for slavery.

Almost 60% of blacks think that the NBA should require at least one year of college play.

Again, almost 60% of blacks think that China can not effectively host the 2008 Olympics.

Yup – some of this surprised me too. Lesson? The race warlords aren’t speaking for their people. They’re speaking for themselves.

Here’s your link to the Internet page showing these poll results.

I didn't realize that every member of a race was supposed to think alike. Oh, wait. Hey, all other white/Caucasian/Western European-American females, that's what we think, right? Or, wait. Maybe I'm supposed to consult with Hillary Rodham Clinton and Kay Bailey Hutchison to find out my official stance? I'll get back to you.

So what?

I agree with them. Are you so surprised that black people are sensible? Think this one over, kiddo.
