It's been over 17 years since I last went to an amusement park. I think it was Cedar Point in Sandusky. I got to ride a few coasters and stood in line most of the day. Well I went to Canada's Wonderland today and got these fast track passes to go in shorter lines. What a fucking great idea! I didn't stand in line for one rollercoaster, just walked right up to the gate.

Never rode so many rides as I did today. What made it better was my oldest was finally tall enough for the big boy rides and only cried once on the rides.

So yeah, if you ever wondered if paying extra for those passes is worth it, it is.

Also, fuck you.

Don't trust the nimrod attendant that says your lap bar is secure when you think it's not.

i don't understand parting with cash & standing in line just to go up and down rapidly for 3 minutes.

Amusement parks repeatedly fail to amuse me.

rollercoasters are the best thing ever! how much do those fast track things cost? i always thought it'd be a good idea to get one but i never got the chance to because the few times i went to theme parks i always got in free anyway.

I like amusement parks but hate roller coasters. I do like the virtual rides and the more classic rides like at Disney. I enjoy Universal a lot. Six Flags is ok. Don't care for Cedar Point because it's all coasters.
I like the atmosphere though and I sorta even like just buying souvenir shit or whatever and eating junk food. I have more Mickey ears than I know what to do with but fuck if I don't buy the kids a pair every time we go.

there's just something about being surrounded by sunlight and tourists and kids wandering around with balloons and little girls wearing fairy wings taking pictures with snow white that just makes you feel like you're a kid again, right?

Disney does that to a person. They know exactly how to make people feel good and spend money. Not to mention how to guilt trip parents into letting kids do whatever they want.

One day I spent almost the entire day at Pizza Planet in Disney because my son decided that that was all he wanted to do. My husband and other kids took off and there I sat eating and watching. The upside was air conditioning on one of the hottest days of the year.

I love Busch Gardens and get passes every year. Apollo's Chariot remains my favorite roller coaster. You should all come to Williamsburg!

I tell you I was THIS close to buying a full disney princess outfit. I nearly went to go see if they made them in my size, and then I remembered that I'm a grown woman and remembered my sense of shame and bought mickey mouse earrings instead. And an apron. And some cookies.

Just FYI, they do sell them in adult sizes. You gotta look around or ask someone but they do have them. Don't ask me how I know this.

I may have just messed myself.

I wonder if the Disney store realises how many of those outfits are probably used for terrible, terrible kinky role play.

Every time somebody says Busch Gardens it makes me think of Duff Gardens and one of my favorite episodes of the Simpsons and all I can hear in my head is, "Duff Beer for me, Duff Beer for you...I AM THE LIZARD QUEEN"

My fiancee gets the season pass for cedar point every year. One weekend pretty much covers the price of the pass so I can't complain.

I didn't stand in lines, that's the whole point.

The passes were an extra $50 each.

Totally worth it just to see all the shmucks standing in line for 2 hours get pissy because you scoot to the front of the line.

Hahahaha. Oh god. I'll have to check for Duff Beer the next time I'm there. ;)

Due to medical conditions, my doctor has forbidden me to go on the rides. Picture my head popping off like a petulant two year old's Barbie doll.
