The list. Now there is a good one. There are a million and one lists here on Lit. "The List" (from what I have gathered reading around for a bit now) is a list of all the cool ones. The In Crowd. Those in the Know. Basically its a bunch of BS.

A while ago Lit was a small group of people. The people who have been here since day 1. (or maybe day 164?) Those are the people who are really on the List I think.

Dont worry about the list. There are way too many people on here now.

Trolls though. I have some experience with Trolls. Trolls are ASS HOLES to the N'th degree. They start fights between people. (and boards - that is why the Personal boards are now split) Trolls stir up shit. Then they keep it stirred so that it remains on the first page.

Some people have multiple names here. (hard to believe I know) My theory is that some of the Trolls post under 1 name to start somthing, then post under another name to start the fight - being on both sides.

I start to "bump" threads when this happens. I will find some thread that has been burried and I will just reply with "bump" or "Hi" whatever. I will do it just so that thread will go to the top of the first page and hopefully burry a troll thread.

About the best thing to do (in my humble opinion) when there is thread that is meant to start shit is to ignore it. I have gotten draggen down into long drawn out fights about things that are easier (in the end) to just yell "Ass Hole!!!) at my laptop. that way I dont help to keep that thread alive.

Hey Lee.... it may have been just a bit "rambley", but the advice was solid. I have found it just better to ignore the "shit's" myself. Life is too short to spend it fighting with people, and one of the nice thing about Lit is that there are so many threads that you can easily ignore them. I have found on the Playground that most of the people are very nice and very very friendly.

Not sure about that list
But a troll is a trouble maker who just wants to stir up trouble, usually posting really nasty, objectionable threads. Often they are very insulting to someone or are racist, or similar, and usually the poster is unregistered. They just want reaction and attention. Best way is to ignore them and not post. Eventually they go away, like a pimple.

Well you can copy and past em into a word doc or copy and paste em into an email. That is about he only 2 ways I can think of to save em.
