Ahmet Zappa

Would love to see a story about Ahmet Zappa, son of Frank zappa. He is currently a judge on the amercian tv show "star search". If anyone is interested in writing somehting like this, please let me know. my email is

I thought that his name was Ahmed Zappa? Ahmed is a common Arab name, and the Zappa's are Arabs. Then again I suppose that since Ahmed is merely a transliteration into English from Arabic script, it could go either way...

Moon Unit Zappa: I'm pretty sure there is only one way to spell her name.

nope, it is definitley ahmet, not ahmed. frank named his kids based on personal, not cultural reasons. his other three kids are named moon unit, diva, and dweezil. ahmet was named after someone frank and gail knew.

I stand corrected. If this picture is authentic, there is no question that it's really Ahmet. Personally, I think that, for a Zappa scion, he got off light in the name department

yeah, plus, now that ahmet is a quasi- celeb, beign on star search and all, it is easy to get legitimate info, such as full, proper name spellings, etc. . he definitley got off easy in the name departemnt, i agree with you there. although, dweezil is starting to grow on me. he is dating lisa loeb, the singer, i believe.
