And in most cases justice does prevail but when people have an attitude like you that's when people take the law in their own hands. How many businesses were burnt to the ground in Baltimore, their own neighbors businesses, how many small mom and pop stores were looted in the name of justice.

It's called the "Romeo and Juliet" exception to the "sex with minors" law.

Just out of curiosity, how come it took the release of the video of this to cause an arrest? According to reports I read, the original investigating officers wanted to charge them at the tiime of the shooting, however the DA office directed them to not arrest and charge the individuals.

I'm not in this conversation to defend what happened, but I will say if the video wasn't made available a different outcome could have happened no doubt. People get away with crime all the time. Like we found in Ferguson the local PD could be corrupt, we should wait for the facts and not prejudge.

I assume nothing. I pointed out that what people are upset about is precieved racial bias within the criminal justice system. To which this is held as yet another example of.

Prosecutor called Ahmaud Arbery shooting a ‘justifiable homicide’ before recusing self

A prosecutor who recused himself from the Ahmaud Arbery investigation waited until he had described the shooting as a “justifiable homicide” and sent a letter outlining why the suspects should not be charged, according to a report.

The Glynn County Police Department said Saturday that district attorney George Barnhill told police there was insufficient evidence to charge Greg McMichael and Travis McMichael after Arbery was shot and killed while jogging in February in Georgia.

“Detectives met with DA George Barnhill Sr. of the Waycross Judicial Circuit the following day and reviewed their findings with him,” the statement reads. “DA Barnhill, Sr., advised the detectives before noon on Feb. 24, that the act was justifiable homicide and for detectives to continue their investigation and provide him with lab reports and any additional information.”

The specific reason this became a big news story is that no charges were filed in the killing, which struck most people as insane. If Bubba and Son of Bubba had been charged with murder when this happened weeks ago, this would never have been more than a local story.
