I've just come in from watching the sea and smelling the delightful scent of...































...rotting seaweed. It's that time of year when the offshore weed beds shed their old fronds and grow new. The old end up on the beach. So far only isolated heaps. Soon it can be a wide swathe a metre deep.

Indeed. Ihad my first inhalation yesterday. The first few lungfuls were ok, but after half an hour of breathing it in all along the promenade......I'd had enough.

And there's mountains of the stuff where the tide has pushed it in to the shore.

And one strange part......you could see it, all brown and rotting, lying on the top of the water, and there were two tracks of dog prints - one leading to the water, one leading back. How the hell the dog walked on it without going through I'll never know. Wish I'd taken a pic now.
