Anyone see the season premiere last night? Awesome. I'm gonna love this Marvel reboot. If you followed the Avengers and got pissed when Agent Coulson died, you'll love it.

Still not 100% sure Coulson is dead.

I can't say without it being a spoiler for those that haven't seen the new TV version of S.H.I.E.L.D., Candi.

Not seen it yet. Airing for the first time in the UK Friday night...trailers make it look fun, though perhaps a little kiddie friendly.

I would've been sweeter if ABC hadn't put it opposite NCIS. I was kind of ticked about that.

I haven't seen it either, I honestly somehow forgot about it.

Easy thing to do, especially here in the UK. Heard about the show awhile ago and saw the first trailer over on IGN a few months then forgot about it until about two, three weeks back when they started to advertise it on C4...I had one of those "oh yeah forgot about that" moments.

I had to DVR it, because Tuesday night is TV night with the folks, and they watch NCIS.

Good stuff. It was nice to see some familiar faces (Book!) and the women, as expected, were freaking amazing. Coulson was his typical awesome self, even if there was a slightly sinister moment concerning his post-Avengers story.

Also... as someone who grew up reading a ton of Marvel, including some old Nick Fury comics, I gave the final scene with Lola a big thumbs up.

Kind of related...kind of not....

Warner Bros. Has sold the television rights to Gotham (the young Jim Gordon story) to fox, bypassing the pilot phase and ordering a full first season for a 2014-2015 airing.

Busy time for comic book creations it seems.

Remember back in the 80s we could only dream of this stuff.

I love Drinky Crow. Awesome avatar.

Anyone who doesn't love Drinky is a goddamn fascist. So... thanks. ;)

By the way, here's a little something for Avengers fans.

Watch it while you can!

I can see that getting pulled in the next few hours. Not amazing as teasers go though...sound bites from last film and a CGI image of Ultrons head doesn't fill me with the desperate need to see this now. but was looking forward to the sequel anyway this has not put me off.

Yeah, I'd say there's about a 99.94% chance of it getting pulled. Alone, it's nothing that special, but in context...

The crowd had just seen Tom Hiddleston walk out and declare them "his army" and then Joss Whedon introduced this clip. It's not meant for public consumption; it was for the die-hards.

I'm psyched.

TAHITI?????? What's up with that, Coulson? What's in Tahiti?

I loooooooved the Extremis nod. It justifies my stan for Iron Man 3, which everyone was saying was weak with the plot.

Good start, pulls you in to watch next week. And it's fucking great to see Ming-Na Wen back in form.

But TAHITI???

I'm gonna rewatch Avengers now, just because of reasons. :D

According to Wiki (yes I know its not always 100% trustable) Ultron is to be played by James Spader in Avengers 2.

I think that's accurate (something unique for wiki) he has signed in the dotted line, crossed the t's and put a dot on all the lower case j's.

That's a definite. Everybody knows this by now.

BUT!!! I wanna know how this is gonna play out towards that eventuality!

Is A.I.M. and Stark's machinery gonna build Ultron since Ant-Man isn't a factor for the movie canon?

Fuck it! I want all my Avengers shit coming down right now! :D

Yeah, the women in this were unbelievable... which was pretty much guaranteed, with Joss Whedon being involved. And she was the best of them all. Damn.

Most of the people who bitched about Iron Man 3 were going googly-eyed over Man of Steel, which truly did stink. The little nods to the movies were great.

I've always thought that Marvel knows what it's doing. They started out slippery, but right now, you can bank on everything they do. They aren't putting out big-budget franchise-hopeful clunkers like Green Lantern.

The only slip-up is that Spider-Man is a franchise of Sony, which blocks the character from getting into the Marvel universe in the films. Which is fucked, because in the comics, he was briefly a part of the Fantastic Four and a reserve member of the Avengers. And he is a goooood character for that. I would nut my balls dry to see that happen.

Hugh Jackman wanted all the Marvel superhero franchises to come together for one big blowout and they told him it's impossible because everything's fractured as far as rights are concerned. But Avengers proved you could do it logistically and it would be sweet to see an X-Men and Avengers team-up onscreen.

I missed this last night. Will try to catch it next week.
