AFM's Abode

Time to share something after a long time. I'm an avid reader of the Girl On the Net Blog. She's one of the sex bloggers that always has interesting topics for debate, and writes well. Here's an excerpt from a recent post about a challenge she took to keep her eyes open during sex.

After weeks of nerves and uncertainty, I was pretty surprised to find that the eye-contact fuck was easy to initiate. Normally I’m very bad at seduction: apparently it doesn’t count as ‘foreplay’ if I casually whisper “can I see your dick?” while my partner’s playing Xbox. But occasionally I manage to nail it, and give him the kind of foreplay he can really get involved in: lots of kissing and touching and pressing my own naked skin against his until he’s as hard as he can get and ready to moan in just the right way when I finally touch his cock.

He was in this state when I asked him if he wanted to try the eye contact thing, and he grinned and kissed me: eyes wide open.

It felt very strange, like my kisses were being scrutinised. Normally a kiss is just a kiss. And a kiss with someone I’ve known for this long is natural and easy. This time, though, I was much more aware of everything I was doing – the placement of my lips, the pressure with which I kissed him, the sounds we made as we squished together and pulled apart… everything. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t awkward, but I wouldn’t be telling the whole truth if I told you that ‘awkward’ was all there was to it. There was something thrillingly kinky about it too – locking my eyes on his while I ran my hands over his chest and down towards his cock. While I pinched his nipples and he used soft fingers to play with my wet clit. Although we were just as alone as we usually are when we fuck, the eye contact made me feel observed in a way I don’t normally feel. It fired the same excitement as I’ve felt before getting spanked in front of strangers at a club, though this time there were no strangers: just the two of us.

Word of the day, and one of my favourite words, is 'salacious'. I use this word often on the forums.

The official definition is 'having or conveying undue or indecent interest in sexual matters'. It has an amusing etymology as well, originating in the 1660s, from the Latin 'salire', which means to leap - the theory is that is it like a male animal leaping on a female animal to mate.

Do you need sunglasses?

No, just a tea, please. ;)

I love when you give us these insights into words. I think it's a VERY good word!

I have also arrived 😈 I’m kicking my shoes off, tucking my legs under me, and getting comfortable.

So what's the word for today?

Welcome all!

Word of the day is lackadasical. It means uncommitted, languid, or unenthusiastic.

eg. His teachers did not approve of his lackadaisical approach to homework.

"Alack the day" (used in Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet') or "alakacaday", which could be interpreted as was a common sixteenth century exclamation of sorrow or reproach, which could be interpreted as "woe to the day'. By the eighteenth century this had turned into "lack-a-day" or "lackadaisy', and from that, the adjective "lackadasical' was born, and started to become commonly used in the 19th century. It denoted the limp, languid speech and bearing of one who was overwhelmed by life's challenges and was prone to utter "lackaday".

Good morning. My thread is still a wreck from an impromptu slumber party so I'm going to quietly sip coffee in this one.
