About creating a link from your posts

I finally got my first story approved... How do I provide a link to it from my posts or in my sigline? I tried a copy/paste but it didn't hyperlink it. (Yes, I am a complete idiot about these things) What screen should I start at?

Well, first congratulations! I hope your story does very well!

To create a link within a message, click on the "http://" button that is located within the vB Code - right underneath all the Message Icons. You would type in what you want the link to say, such as the title or "My Story" or whatever. Click on "OK" and another dialogue box will appear. Simply past the addy where your story appears and click "OK".

If you want the link to appear in your sig line, go to the Control Panel, and click on Edit Profile. In the signature area, enter [ URL ] then the copy the addy, then type ]. Next write what ever comment you wish - "My Story" or the title or whatever. Then type [ /Url ]. (do not include the spaces) Then click on "Submit modifications" and the link should appear in your sig line.
