This is the first story I have felt a need to draw attention to. If you like trains/railroading, the dynamics of country life and relationships of those who live there, you will enjoy this tale. Even if it is set in England. The first chapter is a flashback and some may have chosen to pass on the series after reading it as I almost did. I realized that Abby had not appeared so I read the second chapter and was hooked.
It is not a stroke story unless you are aroused by the powerful stroke of a steam propelled piston. (I have to admit that the steam and early gas machines of the first half of the last century do cause my heart rate to increase.)
