A snippet and a query.

On the story side we can't post stories less than 750 words. My understanding is that we're not supposed to post stories on the forum side at all. So where can we post erotic narratives that are less than 750 words?

I've seen a few writers put together snippets like this into short anthologies of flash fiction which they post as a single story e.g. 4 pieces of 300 words each, which then takes them over the 750 word limit.

Is that an option for you?

I don't really think of this as something publishable as erotica, so the 750 word limit isn't a problem here. I'm just curious about whether it sounds "authentic" as I define it. Pure curiosity. Do you know if there's a prohibition against posting erotica in forums?

I think you've got the basis for a good story. Take it from fantasy and fill it out with details. As for posting erotica in the forums, there have been several threads around short blurbs or snippets, 250 words or so and another specifically for short stories. I haven't heard of anyone getting stuff deleted or banned, so go for it.

Bear in mind that the snippets in the Writing Exercises and similar threads are (nominally at least) intended as part of the "discussion of writing", and we make sure not to break any of the rules that apply to publication through the normal Lit process.

I think that the mods have shown quite a bit of leniency, which I for one appreciate (having started most of the Writing Exercises), but I'm sure they'd smack us down hard if those threads became an excuse to circumvent the rules.

Thanks for the nod to Writing Exercises. I've had a fun time perusing it. I'm putting a watch on it.

I don't understand the "number 8". Am I looking in the wrong place?
Sorry, I thought you were referring to the threads we've had in the Hangout, like:
https://forum.literotica.com/threads/writing-exercise-show-us-your-style.1609871/
https://forum.literotica.com/threads/writing-exercise-9-hot-stuff.1616860/
https://forum.literotica.com/threads/writing-exercise-8-fairy-tales.1618774/

(And I've the count all wrong, apparently, if "Hot Stuff" was no. 9 already.)

You could always publish anything less than 750 words as a poem, either erotic or non-erotic.

Oh! I'll check those out. Thanks. I hadn't done so before because I don't anticipate doing any more writing. But I do like analyzing.
