In the meadow of my soul
I hear the birds as they sing
Flowers bloom for bees to drink
And the sun shines on everything

golden

A golden glow
Enfolds us all
Each person has one
Big or small

For some this glow
Is very bright
It shines through us
Like a beacon bright

For others the glow
Is very low
It's brightness dimed
By another's blow

If each one with
A glow that's bright
Would share a bit
We'd make the world right

Care

Care? what, me?Care?
not a prayer
not on a dare
not sitting on a chair
not while eating a pear
not inside a tiger's lair
I dare not care
To care is to share
the pain that your soul and heart doest tear

Bridge

I've always heard, over and over
'Cross that bridge when we get to it'
Well, here it is in front of us lover
Do we cross it or do we burn it?

flower

Has flower already been done?
or is it a fresh thought
of reaching up in the sun
a message we are taught
a parable of growth
of renewal anew
but also the cycle to death
we must see both
for once the flower grew
and now it feels the frost's killing breath

Option

The options are many, the choices are few.
Just how is one to decide, what one should do?
If I take this path, will it lead to salvation?
If I stay where I am, do I sacrifice elation?

Elate

Elate is a verb, a word
seldom heard
the root of its cousin elation
which is the opposite of its rhyme, frustration

Popular

Most desire to be liked and well known
To be popular for the seeds we have sown
To have people smile when we walk in the door
To weep in sweet torment, when we are here no more.

Weep

I choose to laugh, not to weep
no matter if the wounds are deep
I think of Monty Python's Black Knight
bravely fighting, despite his plight
And laugh about killer rabbits
to avoid aquiring tearful habits.

Explore

One should always be willing to explore
Everything that resides outside their door
Even all that is within their soul
To learn what it is they need to be whole..

Willing

A willing explorer might find all sorts of wonders
if unafraid of making a few blunders
that is how the world was discovered
or at least, new treasures uncovered

Coverup

There is no cover up, no conspiracy
Things are always just what they seem
The fables are false, as faerie tales will be
It is really just all brought upon by dreams.

Fable

A fable is a tale told as if it is true
a story , which makes an old leson new
whether Bible, Aesop , or hobbitt
A fable is best with a knight in it

Remember

Oh to always remember laughter and joy
To always hold fast to those little pleasures
To live out loud, and never be coy
Would be a life enjoyed beyond measure.

Coy

I was coy
when I was a boy
and it started me badly
so now I know , coyness ends sadly

Demand

To demand sublime satisfaction
Is something a knight might say
To give sublime satisfaction
A lady would never say nay.

Sublime

Sublime is easy to rhyme
anytime
It is a word that forms on your lips as a smile
and imbues a sense of peace, for a while
A fine word for troubled times
I'm really glad it rhymes

Silk

My mistress beckons me to her bed
I comply, her obedient slave,
seeking reward
I tie her hands carefully above her head
with a silken cord
giving her the thing she does crave
First, I eat her like fresh baked bread
then I pierce her with my fleshy sword
then we share an orgasmic wave

Persimmon

Drawing on my imagination and creativity
Is always a pleasurable activity
To incoporate persimmon into word play
And not appear ignorant today
A delicious berry, with many seeds
Orangish so it would seem
Unless we are talking about trees
Could be either, it seems to me.

Ignorant

Are we innocent, or ignorant?
do we learn, or foolishly rant?
sexual ignorance is a shame
I think prudishness is to blame

Knave

A knave of hearts, is a bastard indeed
Tricking and deceiving all that they greet
Nary a warning to take heed
Will still the curiousity to meet
Such is a person, we should all beware
For to be a such, with nary a care
Is abhorant and truly obscene
How could one be so mean?

Deceitful
