Hi there. I've just been prescribed the type of asthma inhaler that you press the top and it spays out a jet of stuff. I'm used to using the ones that you twist the base and breath in a fine powerder. I'm having difficulty getting the hang of it. I follow the instructions and managed to spray the stuff right onto my tongue. Then the next time I shot it on the roof of my mouth. I assume that's not right. It tastes really bad too, like anti-freeze or something.
So can someone who uses the things tell me what you're supposed to do? I'm assuming you have to shoot it at the back of your throat but how do you aim it? Any tips? Also, is it bad when you get it in your mouth like that, I mean is it dangerous to swallow? I rised my mouth out with water afterward but should I be worried?
In case it makes any difference it's called Serevent and it comes in a green canister.
Thanks.
